What picks do you nibbas use? Yngwie uses a 1.5 mm because thick breaks less and you need sturdy precision and not floppy picks.
Also how is your picking technique, how do you like to hold it?
>>

1. Dunlop flow 2.0
2. Red bear Jazz, Jazz XL Extra heavy gauge bevelled

Very rarely Ernie Ball Prodigy with the very pointy bit, I use another one that I blunt bevelled the tip for ass jazz tones.

Between thumb and index, fist almost closed but not quite as I do some hybrid picking with my ring finger. Most movements are from the wrists but when looking at the mirror I notice I fiddle with thumb motions a lot when I'm in my ersatz Beck mode permanently holding the vibrato bar with my pinky.

Ridiculous. For that amount of money you can get one of the other amp sims which offer way more possible tones. All the sims sound the same.

Neural DSP should just bundle all of their already released amps, cabs, effects, etc. into 1 piece of software. You would be able to mix and match all of those. But they won't, because they can't price it reasonably. No one is going to buy it for 5000$.

anon's clean-tone manifesto: high-gain/distortion is an evolutionary dead end for any kind of cultural relevancy. Playing high-gain chugs and riffs is fun when you're 15 but it locks you into playing basic power chords (aka fifths) because more complicated chord voicings like sevenths or ninths sound like trash with distortion.

70s/80s rock with boomer-bend style lead playing is ALREADY kind of its own novelty and a diversion from what a guitar is inherently good at, which is playing multiple notes at once. The limitations of playing a polyphonic instrument as monophonic were already explored in the 70s, and so high gain metal stuff is just taking that same idea of 'how can we play single notes on an instrument with strengths other than playing single notes' further down a path of cultural obscurity. Distortion prevents you from playing interesting chord voicings and syncopations, which is really fighting against what the instrument naturally wants to do, which is to play chords and play around chords.

Music that has guitar and is culturally relevant, whether it's Daft Punk, Billy Strings, Sabrina Carpenter, whatever, all has clean guitar because you can fit that into the rhythm of something that gets women dancing. Clean is the future.

current player series really are. I'd rather get the vintera than the sub 2000 AMerican models too, just has better specs

I've been playing a long time, but at the beginning of the year I bought an acoustic and started playing acoustic exclusively. My goals by the end of the year were to be able to play fingerstyle well (and fast) and to be able to sing and play at the same time. I never thought I could do it but holy shit, I can do both now. I thought singer guitarists sold their souls to the devil for this ability but now I can learn to sing and play pretty much any song so long as its not super hard. Shit snowballs like crazy

What cool shit have you guys learned to do recently? .

Japanese one is cheaper. If he hasn't changed the pickups to his US manufactured one, should sound pretty much the same too.
My gripes are:
>Heel joint is blocky. They have models with better sculpted heels
>Depending on how and how much you play, SS frets do wear, you might need a dress in a few years time
>Carbon fiber reinforced and roasted maple neck isn't quarter sawn and mine moved a lot in its first year
>Bone nut does wear out specially at the D slot and you'd have to replace or remedy it
But otherwise in its first year the tuning stability (bridge and nut) is breddy gud. Not double locking trem good though.
I'm sure they have 24 fret ones with a Gotoh 510 bridge

December 18th, 2025... Today is the day. I awake to the sound of the meat packing plants machinery firing up. I have a studio apartment above the rendering vats. I remove the clasps from my harness. I sleep hanging inverted from the ceiling. Its good for blood flow. I have one thing on my mind. I log into my company provided PalmPilot and open the dossier on my current mark. He's been on my radar since he purchased a mini strat figurine from our web portal during cyber monday in 2014... A fiesta red strat. The subtle detail on the fretboard... I knew he'd love it. I called him that afternoon in 2014 and he told me he was busy... A lie. Intel stated that he was at GC when he answered. For the last 11 years I have been him. Living as him. In another man's skin... I'm in a corner booth in full disguise, even though he's never seen me in the physical realm. He walks into the Dennys. He orders 5 eggs à la carte, scrambled. I feel the universe screaming. I sit down in his booth and place an exact copy of the strat figurine in front of him... Guilt filling his gaunt face. "I tried calling. It could have been easy", I heard someone croak out. I realized it was me. The mushroom tincture hit all at once. "Did you like your purchase? You know I'm your sales engineer". The last part not being a question. "Customer service is non-negotiable". I reach into my vest and he leans back, uneasy. I pull out a Sweetwater card with a QR code. And a handwritten letter. Toss some vanilla candy on the table and head to my double parked 2003 Mazda Rx7. I see him through the window opening the letter as I peel out. Feeling too vulnerable to witness him reading it... I feel my phone buzzing... It's him. "I never knew you cared, John. But, I'm a GC man now. We're exclusive... I'm... I'm sorry". My world turns dark. I head west. Looking for something not known. Maybe the journey is what I'll find. Just as tears start to burn my eyes Jumpin Jack Flash comes on the radio. I turn it up and ride...

I think Schecter makes a HB one. But the trem is unique for a bass. Was used on some 60s stuff. Plus with the small radius and smaller strings, you can do bass chords too. Nowadays metalheads are rediscovering it.

It's not the sales you don't make that keep you up at night. They can tell you about recessions and tire kickers when you're doing your onboard training. Always be closing. Know your gear. All the fleeting lingo means nothing when you've lived the life for 20 years. You've been on the floor at Namm to see gear so new that customers can't even buy it. You've held tonewood so endangered, it'd be illegal if governments knew about it. You stood up for your best friend as he ended his vows with a short song on that 70s reissue player series tele light relic. You can smell the nitro just thinking about it.
All of that can be taken away with one promo. To your customers it's so convenient. They can just download a new tone now. Thanks for calling they say. You try to convince them to try the Mesa mark VIII, but it's no use. Their Valeton vst captures are from perfect microphone placement. The real room acoustics never hit the same. You just finished learning Dragonforce, happy hardcore, djent. Now they're only impressed by Polyphia, Giacomo. Even Giacomo doesn't play authentic Giacomo. Snow falls gently and you don't know which way you'd turn even if you could see in front of you. You'll probably wind up a body in a shipping container if you try to pull the stunts you used to at Musician's Friend outlets. They know who you are now. Being a Sweetwater sales engineer puts a weight on your shoulders and a target on your back.
