The guitarist of Power Trip, even before Riley died, had a small side project called Fugitive that was very similar to PT. After Riley died the vocalist of Fugitive became PT's vocalist. I've decided that a compelling aesthetic and atmosphere isn't enough, and that if you have no riffs then you can fuck off, hence I'm going through and purging my digital library of riffless garbage, i.e. dissoshit and a bunch of no-name atmoshit with 10+ minute songs. It's amazing how poorly most of that shit holds up after a cursory listen and how interchangeable it is outside of the early/founding bands like Gorguts, VBE, BaN, etc.
