>not even a coil split, just switches between faggy cumbucker voice 1 and faggy cumbucker voice 2

>oh and they die in 20 minutes btw
>everything has a satin finish. If you're lucky enough to find something gloss, best believe it will have faggy transparent rainbow galaxy sparkle burst. Solid colors are CANCELLED
>everything has faggy gold hardware
>24 frets aren't even standard anymore (esp e-ii)
>they all ship with an autistic ultra low """"shredder"""" setup that just buzz like crazy
>ugly ass fucking ibanez shapes (these niggers couldn't make a good looking guitar to save their lives)
>le heckin multiscale 11 string metal reddit guitars (with fagence pickups and a gay rainbow finish ofc)
>companies charging $1500+ for made in Indonesia guitars when fender shows that you can do made in japan for under $1000 (?????)
>for some reason all the good looking guitars with basic good features are 400 dollar Indonesian slop. The MIJ/MIK equivalents ALWAYS have the above issues (e.g., Indonesian esps have 24 frets, but MIJ ones only ever have 22 (?????))
>LP shapes aren't full thickness
>your only other options are fender and Gibson boomerslop
niggas I'm crashing out. This is seriously the most lgbtqia2s+ jewish era for guitars
schecter is literally the only company that consistently puts out guitars with features and sovl these days. ESP could be doing the same, but they insist on adding 1 or 2 of the above fuck ups to all of their guitars for some reason

tfw if I want to get my hands on the utter kino that is picrel, I'll have to get a modern ESP and replace literally everything that had a screw in it with separately purchased parts that actually have sovl

I think EMG just stuffs a single coil and a humbucker in the same case, so I think that's about as good as a dual-voice pickup can get
my hellraiser has 707s in it and it sounds pretty much like a fender when split
also when your batteries die, the pups will still work in single coil mode, which i think is pretty cool

Its incredibly easy to fix vintage amps, the schematics are all available the parts are all available and the only skill you need is basic soldering.
>>
>>129203198
yeah I was confused asf at first. I didn't even realize by battery had died

once I stack my bread a bit I'm gonna swap out the c-7 for a c-VI and an esp eclipse 6 string
26.5 is uncomfortably long for normal 6 string playing but at the same time the low B string is a bit floppy in drop A (might just be a skill issue, but sometimes my pick gets stuck when doing 16th note palm muted gallops)

Well I'm going to take it back and tell them I played it for a total of three hours and it shit the bed, so they need to at the very least skip me to the front of the line and only charge me for parts. I paid them 450 dollars, left it there for three months and it doesn't fucking work. I get that it's an old amp and it's going to break down but I should expect it to function when I get it back for more than three hours, without exception.

73 Super Reverb. I got it because it had all the original transformers and CTS alnico speakers. I suspected it would need a going over, but now I'm wondering if I'm doomed to have it breakdown frequently. As anon mentioned, the good thing is these amps are easy to work on. Maybe I'll learn how to do it myself at some point but for now I just want the repair people to make it right. I don't want another amp, nothing else sounds like these.

I would love to see some footage of Fenders non U.S. factories. MIMs have gotten better again, not quite as good as they were in the early aughts, but certainly a better value than other non US made guitars. Fender Japan is the one I’m most interested in though, their rep has gotten to be pretty good and I’ve had nothing but good experience with the MIJ/CIJ fenders I’ve played

I think MIJs are more attractive now since they're using more Alder. It was apparently a hassle to ship a lot of it to Japan before, so they used Basswood instead. Not sure what changed.
I'm not a tonewood freak. I just don't like how soft basswood is. It can ding and dent easily.
>>
>>129204008
factories are hard work. newer generation only last about a month if even that
>>
>>129204086
True, basswood is basically as soft as you can get before you start having problems.
>>
>>129204086
Not just alder, but they also use the same pickups as MIA, Pure Vintage for example on the recent offset models. Not as sure about pots but pickups and trems are identical to most of the MIA offsets. Their rosewood is really nice too, not dyed like some of the MIM rosewood.

I bent the major third sideways into a one-four-five situation, but before it resolved I slipped a lydian aftertaste over the dominant, feathered in a borrowed flat seven, and let the neck pickup argue with the bridge about modal intent. The rhythm was somewhere between a pocket and a concept, stacking suspended voicings on top of unresolved feelings, tapping harmonics that implied authority without ever committing to it. I flirted with a tritone substitution, chickened out, compensated with pentatonic confidence, and then blamed the cab for the way the mix felt “too Dorian.” By the time I leaned into the turnaround, the tone had already decided it was more about the idea of tension than the execution, so I vibrato’d the problem until it sounded intentional and called it taste.

What’s the deal with nitro finish?
Everyone talks about it like it’s alive.
“Ohhh, it breathes.”
Breathes?!
It’s paint!
What is it doing...yoga?
They say, “It ages naturally.”
Yeah, it falls apart.
That’s not aging that’s giving up.
My car doesn’t do that.
My walls don’t do that.
Why is my guitar slowly turning into antique furniture?
And people love the flaws.
“Oh look, checking!”
No that’s cracking.
That’s what happens when something is cold and stressed.
That’s not mojo that’s anxiety!
You touch it wrong and it scars for life.
Poly says, “No problem.”
Nitro says, “I’ll remember this forever.”

And they always whisper when they talk about it.
“It’s nitro…”
Like it’s illegal.
Or fragile.
Or both.
At this point, nitro isn’t a finish
it’s a commitment.

>>
>>129205312
actually yeah it was kind of illegal under biden. fender could only spray X number of nitro finishes per year and most of those were allotted to custom shops. they were sending the vintage iis over the border to be sprayed for a while. recently got lifted, maybe that’s why they’re able to do the ultra luxe vintage series now

He was caught or known to be faking it by anyone who watched some of the videos. But any time someone would try to bring it up, retards like yourself would come out and call anyone who did that "jealous" for making that claim. So you need some autistic 30 minute callout video before social media idiots will finally realize that he's not a guitar god.

And then all the r/guitar idiots will stay be like "of course he was miming, it's a music video!" despite the fact that it's meant to look like a live, unedited performance. Bad faith all around from people who probably can't even barre chord cleanly. Everything guitar related on the internet is filled with bozos so you need to just assume everyone is faking and retarded at this point for social clout

There's a bunch of slop in any pitch detection algorithm, neither system was noticeably better or worse over everything I tried. The laws of physics dictate a limit on how fast you can detect the pitch so it's a bit variable, such as low notes requiring more time since the wave cycle takes longer to complete

His claim was that it's better, the onus is on him to prove it in all of those categories

It's not just that. Wait until you try playing and it starts missing shit. Then you "shape" how you play to how inaccurate it is. You will 100% notice when you try to chord a guitar through synth as a trumpet, and it comes out a slurry mess. Or just flat out clips like auto-tune.
