I've never listened to anything by Deathspell Omega with the exception of their split with Moonblood, which is pretty damn good actually.

The three Prayer tracks are longer than they need to be and stall the album. A liturgical chant is sandwiched into the middle of a song. Even if you find Infernal Battles shit or boring, it only develops from there, with their last session (later released as Manifestations 2002) hinting at the SMRC sound without tripping into its pitfalls.
