I said you have to listen to their latest album. I was hoping that if he ended up liking it, we could go see them on tour. So he did listen to it and he said son, this is shit. It sounds like those computer generated songs. I nearly hit him I was so mad. He listens to this plinky plonky shit, and the moment he hears epic ballads, powerful snyths, thundering riffs, and lyrics about HISTORY, real men and real EMPIRES, not that buddhist shit his music is always about, and he turns away. We argued and I got mad and broke one of his records. I was hoping to go to the Sabaton concert with him and finally see him listening to good music. Now I have to do temp work at the quarry to pay for a new "50th anniversary" edition of "Starless and Black". His favorite "Crimso" as he calls it. It is literally just random noise. The song had a violin on it going this way and that. Yet he laughed when I listened to Symphony to End All Wars.
