I think any combo of overdrive, reverb/delay would work, doesn't sound like it's too effects-laden.
BOSS used to make a sustainer pedal that would let you hold notes indefinitely like the beginning of First Excursion. I don't know if they still make it, but you could probably play it exactly like the recording with one.

yeah I've had it since 2012. I got 2 of them, a maroon and a black one and gave one to my friend, we took mushrooms and did electric guitars in the woods.
mine already had an issue with the battery terminal where it wouldn't work unless you angled the cable a certain way. the nail in the coffin was it stopped putting out any sound unless the drive/gain knob was in a specific spot near dimed, so it couldn't do clean sounds anymore. Plus the battery issue means you can't put it on your belt and do electric guitar in the woods without it cutting out all the time.

>>
>>129740315
Buzz is caused by uneven frets, either through wear, action set too low or warpage of the neck.
>>
>>129740340
low action by itself wont cause buzzing it means something else is wrong
>>
>>129740353
Low action won't. Too low can.
>>
>>129740340
Buzz is caused by the neck, nut, or bridge. The frets have little to do with buzz and outside of a crown or refret, they aren't adjustable like the other parts i mentioned. Most fret buzz is simply caused by a bad set up.

Pointy picks really are better for faster picking. I've been using the yellow turtle while practicing a few solos and as soon as I randomly tried the flow pick, I was able to play it much easier. Jazz 3 xl too, it's such a stark difference to the turtle. I don't wanna give up on it entirely cause I really like that pick but I might do more practice with the pointy ones til I get good enough that it won't matter which pick I use.

the thing about the /gg/eor/gg/e floyd rose is nobody is willing to iterate on the concept
off the top of my head i can think of
>thin, drop in replacement locking nut for guitars that weren’t built with one
the locking nut does not need to be that enormous in 2026
>built in trem stopper/locking bridge system
would make changing strings and intonation a breeze
>redesigning the saddles to accept the ball end of strings
this is so obvious it’s ridiculous that it hasnt been done, it would eliminate the need for the claw on the back and make string changes a step easier
>route the block to allow string-thru stringing
this just ties into above, it’s retarded that it hasnt been done yet
>>
>>129742656
oh and
>simplify the term arm
there is no good reason for the arm assembly to be like 8 different parts, the screw on the bridge should just be molded in or at least a simple nut on the back instead of the insane multi-part mechanism to lock the screw assembly for the arm to the bridge
>>

I'm willing to bet that the vasr majority of tone fags can't even notice the difference in tone when a bit of wood is missing and are just convincing themselves otherwise. It's all fucking bullshit. The type or amount of wood on an electric guitar doesn't make a noticeable difference. Whether the Floyd nut is a centimetre or half of it would not make a significant difference for his old ass ears to hear.

im all for toanfagging but the sheer retardation is a borderline mental illness
for instance, its agreed upon that weight=toan right? That’s why brass saddles and brass trem blocks are a thing
Yet, the pinnacle of toan for the floyd rose is titanium parts, which weigh like 50 percent less than the standard rolled steel version
make it make sense

>>129742745
You can't make it make sense when it's all just snake oil. The pickups, amp and eq are far more important for tone than wood will ever be. A top of the line prsplank will sound worse on a cheap amp than a chinkshit squier on a good amp with proper eq. The weight of the body or hardware might affect sustain more but the differences in tone will be negligible.

>>129742776
That sounds more like spec chasing than actually noticing a difference.

>2 Ricks
I love them both and they behave and sound differently, one is a neck through and has more sustain than them all other than maybe the LP and the other is the classic Rick that does all the classic Rick stuff. It didn’t handle gain as well as the neck through. I love how they feel the same but sound different and are used for different things
>3 Teles
One is different than the other two, and of the other two one is my number one guitar and the other was a dream guitar from when I was a teenager and is my open D electric
>double hum tele because you havent nailed down a LP you like for instance
Yes, I like the sound of wide range humbuckers the most of other humbuckers. I’ve never played a Les Paul with PAFs that has made me want one. I’d much rather get a Gold Top with P90s for another Les Paul or an SG for another humbucker guitar

>double him tele
this is the funny part, because I’ve heard Les Pauls described as a “tele, but more” so im sure that somewhat fills that role and I don’t blame you

It feels indecisive because you have 3 teles and 2 ricks and a random jag, I promise you sell a rick, 2 teles, that jag (which you didn’t even mention lol) and that songwriter gibson and focusing that money in 1 or two separate guitars will much better further your interest in the toan that’s in your head

anon, think.
the only purpose of zero frets is for open strings to have a similar timbre to fretted strings since open strings tend to be much more boomy. Hence why you virtually never see one on guitars where the low frequencies are not as prominent so "boomy" doesn't really matter there.

>Rick necks at considerably smaller than a shred stick neck yet you don’t have a complaint about either Rick’s?
Their necks are the opposite of shred stick necks, they’re fatter profile wise and narrow width wise which is what I like. They’re like 1.93” at the 12th fret where something like a Gibson is around 2.06” and a modern shred neck is going to be flat and wide at the 12th fret and not thin like a Rick or vintage Fender which is the neck spec that I prefer
>That’s what i mean about redundancy here
I still don’t see what’s redundant about having two wildly different construction guitars that sound different but have the same feel that I prefer
>seems like you’re holding onto the rosewoood tele because of sentimental value
Not really, I play it a lot but just like how the other one sounds a little better
>if you want a guitar in full step down it doesnt need to be the most expensive
Telecasters are my favorite, they were both equally expensive and when playing alternate tunings I want to play guitars I’m most familiar with which is why my alternate tuning guitars are my #2 Tele and my old workhorse Strat
>random Jag
Nah it’s not random, it’s probably my most versatile guitar to pull different sounds out of while also having a rock solid killer vibrato. The bridge gets very close to Tele twang and the neck gets very close to Strat neck, with different circuits and filters to get even more sounds out of. It lacks sustain which is my biggest complaint about it but it’s a perfect compliment to whatever other guitar I’m playing as my main when recording. It’ll never be my main guitar but it’s a great studio guitar to record with.
I am 34 years old and have been playing for a long time and these are the guitars I like playing

To the best of my recollection, see pic rel:

I tried to do a modal interchange where everything is related to C pedal tone. So it looks like :
> Cmaj
> C+
> Cminmaj7
> E+/C -> Amin/C

I think that’s it. As long as C is the anchor and there’s a little harmonic rhythm, you can just play weird chromatic movements and modulate. The later stuff I added probably clashed but I just did that by ear (thinking of M.O.O.N’s “Hydrogen”).
