Set neck BROWN superstrat with creme binding, HSH with those weird carvin pickups with 12 pole pieces, kahler, set neck that was baseball bat. It played amazingly. had the tilt back headstock and broke it. Being young and dumb, I just threw it away instead of having it repaired.bonus: there was a set of RSB lace sensors in the case. guess they didn't look closely so I got those for free too.

It’s not about what country the instrument is made in. It’s about the craftsman who built it. I’ve had Mexican Fenders that are better than American Fenders. I’ve had Japanese Fenders that are better than both. I’ve been playing bass for over 25 years now so I can’t speak for the guitar quality though.

The real reason Yamahas play better is Fender's stubborn and sticks to a shitty 9.5 radius. Either go 12 and allow low action and big bends, or go 7.25 and make it super comfortable to bang around on and melt into your hand. 9.5 is the worst of both worlds. Pacificas are 12 inch radius with narrow nut like a vintage strat. That's why they're so easy to play and feel so great compared to Fenders 'one size fits all' crap

I had a 7.25 strat and it was a great guitar, but there's a compromise. It's essentially impossible to have low action and be able to bend more than 2 steps on the top E above the 12th fret. So coming to that guitar as a lead player accustomed to 12 inch radius and making huge bends was always a bummer. And I have some kind of compulsion on guitars, if there is a dead fret, I'm just drawn to it by unseen forces. If there's a bend that frets out, I'm there immediately pissing myself off.
Why are there almost no widespread jm copies? I don't expect there to be as many as a tele but damn there's almost none.

Ebony is hard and brittle and likely to chip and break if you ever need a refret. This is the only disadvantage ebony and maple have to rosewood. For strats and teles I like maple but it's just aesthetic preference.I have guitars with all 3 kinds of fretboards and can't feel a difference, but I have calloused fingers and a light touch and will probably never need a refret.

I dont know am i retarded but to me my fender amp stock delay sounds better than dd-7. I dont know if im doing something wrong.On my amp the delay repeats the tone more accurately than dd-7. On dd-7 the repeated note sounds too twangy, like half of the tone is just some kind of a high pitched sound that sounds like a hit of a pick onto a string. And no matter which note i play that sound stays the same. So it sounds terrible. Am i doing something wrong or is my specific used pedal just not working properly?

In my experience digital delays are better for slapback and doubling, if you want spacey long repeats an analog delay works better.

why do people say you need humbuckers for metal (or heavy distortion in general)?isn't the in-between position of two single coils functionally identical?
