Every issue the seller said the amp had was fixed when I plugged in the reverb tank and the foot switch into the correct jacks. He had them in wrong which made the reverb not work and one of the channels not work. Plugged them in correctly and it’s working fine. It has a slight hiss which I expected something along those lines from a 45 year old amp but I’ll take a slight hiss any day of the week compared to what I thought I was getting. For a $400 amp I’m thrilled with it.

Anyone else have one of these? How noisy are they supposed to be?The tone is a big upgrade from what I'm used to, but there's a lot of high end noise bleeding through compared to my other guitars. Do I need copper shielding or something?

If you knew anything about anything you'd know shielding is a joke. First off, it doesn't do shit. Provably. Find me an A/B example where shielding reduces noise and I'll cut my dick off, microwave it til it splits and eat it on tv.Secondly, shielding tape deadens the tonewood where it matters most.

Is it worth putting together a Warmoth Strat specifically for a color? I want a certain spec Strat but the only ones in the finish that I want that Fender makes are going to be custom shop or some Japanese imports that are limited, expensive, and you have to be lucky to get one when they’re actually available.
