I don’t want a MIM or MIJ, I’ve had complaints with every MIJ/CIJ offset I’ve ever had and would rather just get a good US one. AVRIs are like $2k-$3k nowadays and AV1s are like $3k+. This thing would have came out to around $4k with the value of my Tele and I’d sell my current Jag to make $2k of that back and I’d be comfortable with that, but now his price is closer to $5k and I’m not doing that without knowing exactly the ins and outs of his guitar. EHX soul food is a klon with 120% give to the knobs. In other words, it's a different circuit, but if you only use about 77% of the knob turn up, that's the Klon's peak. So if you're into that sort of thing, for my money the soul food is not only cheaper, but a better circuit.
