These sorts of wrench jobs are all sorts of things, but the one thing they aren't are hassle-free and headache-free mobility options. Dropping in a hub motor, bolting a battery to your bottle mount and zip-tying a few extra wires to your frame is literally ten times easier and ten times more reliable.
