It’s 2024 and nobody can properly simulate airplane crash physics. Ground collision still looks like bouncing Pringle cans and smoke particle effects. BeamNG drive proved it’s possible with cars and trucks. What is stopping soft body physics simulations with pressurized tubes and wings?

Things would get too obvious too quickly

lmao at people not understanding the difference between impulse and energy
go back to school and attend physics class

This man would be shocked to find the wind that blows on his face can also knock down steel towers.

Plane crash in hilly terrain looks indeed different.

BeamNG would be amazing for a flight sim and for a battlebots game

Doesn't look too realistic to me desu

Softbody+Aerodynamics simulation running at the same time definitely can melt steel beams

It requires Finite Element Analysis with huge numbers of elements and huge physics database.

Only a supercomputer can process in anything approaching real time
