I used to be a really avid cyclist around a decade ago, and I’m interested in getting back into it. I really loved my old fixe, and I was looking for something cheap but worth it to help get me back into cycling again. I’ve never used AliExpress before, so I don’t know- you tell me. What’s your assessment?
>>2025383You have to trust the seller. Personally id just get a Mercier Kilo TT from bikesdirect if you want a steel fixie under 500. Its reynolds 520. The state fixie is 4130 chromoly. The fuji feather is a good fixie but theres no feathers on sale now.Or the 250 usd walmart gravel grinder https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-700C-G-1-Explorer-Gravel-Bike-Medium-Frame-Green-Adult-Unisex/3405271473?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=4590&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=222222222783405271473_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-394283752452&wl5=9023205&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=3405271473&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1
>>2025384520 is just plain 4130
It's probably fine. If you are up towards the 185cm height mark you might feel it's a little short/low but it will be fine with either a taller stem or longer one.I would budget for pedals and handlebar tape if it doesn't come with it, maybe think of a brake too if you need it.If you do get it double check that everything has the right amount of grease, since those are things that cheap bikes might have skimped on....
>>2025383>>2025384Get the state 4130 single/fixed. It has more room for wider tires than the Kilo TT.Just wait a week or two, it should go on sale soon during Thanksgiving/Black Friday.
