Well /n/, give me one reason (besides "exercise") I shouldn't sell my shitty commute pushbike where I can barely sustain 25kmh despite being fit and get this?

voids your homeowners insurance

We can't... you already considered an e-scooter, you can never be a cyclist again. It's over anon.
>>
>>2065822
if you can barely sustain 25kmh then you're not fit, I can hold 40kmh for a good while and I'm not even that fit
>>
>>2065822
>pushbike
You're British so a huge concern is going to be rain, which a regular bicycle is certainly more robust against than some Chinese battery-powered fire hazard on wheels.
>>
>>2065833
I'm Australian

These e scooters just look way more fun. Just breezing at 60kmh with no sweat
>>
Smaller wheels aren't stable you can reach those speeds but your won't be as safe as on an e-bike which you conveniently ignored as an alternative the only time a scooter makes sense is when you can take it public transit which many places are banning because of the risk of fire

>handlebars are so narrow you cant really relax, very twitchy
>tyres are shit, low profile 4 inch wheels cushion exactly fuck all
>puncture prone and a pain in the arse to change tyres
>shit plastics that love to break, kick stands, rear mudguards etc
>getting "fit" by standing on a scooter, putting in 0 effort
>you end up looking like pic rel

Stick to the shitbikes OP
>>
>>2065822
>barely sustain 25kmh
>being fit
unless you ride a single speed and are too dumb to realize that you have way too tall of a gear and that you can change this, you're lying about being fit
>>
>>2065822
you can get an e-bike or "conversion kit" for the same price and have much better stability due the larger wheels and an actually functional suspension and also you can sit down

even if you want to be a trolling contrarian there is ZERO reason to get an e-scooter when ebikes exist and have existed for like thirty fucking years
>>
i am willing to be that the sole(1) reason escooters became a thing was because ebike "rideshare" companies started making/using them to save space in collection trucks and maintenance facilities, and retarded boomers and zoomers alike who have had their heads stuck in the sand wrt technology since their birth don't realize that there is a better way than whatever their Favoured Corporation deemed most cost-effective for themselves
>>
>>2065822
>one reason I shouldn't sell my shitty commute pushbike
don't have to worry about dead batteries and cheaper to maintain
>>
>>2065837
I live in an apartment and there's no space for an ebike. Putting it in the bike storage would add like 3-5 minutes to my commute and also means i have to carry the battery to charge it, it's prone to theft etc
>>
>>2065861
How do I know if it's too tall? I have it on the 2 on the 3 speed front and usually 2-4 on the 8 speed back
>>
>>2065921
if you can't push the gear, then it's too tall, it's literally that simple. It really depends whether your legs are strong/weak, strong legs don't need rpm to go fast, weak legs do, but also, too much leg muscle slows down max rpm so there's a balance to be found
>>
>>2065922
When It's too light I feel my legs go too fast and I get tired. Then I increase the gear and I go faster with slower rpm but after a while it peters out and my legs start feeling like lead. I do some jogging etc so I don't know why I'm so bad at cycling, there's oldcels who can go as fast as me, although they're on better road bikes desu

While you were at the cafe I mastered cadence
While you were having pre-marital sex I podiumed crits
And now that the world is on fire you come to me for help? :^

>>2065822
Front launching death trap. At least your push might mount a hazard, cause it doesnt have shopping cart wheels. Any electric push proportioned scooters?
>>
Ignore the incels in this thread. There's nothing more satisfying than close passing lycra fags at 60kmh and watching them seethe
>>
>>2066017
>looking at sweaty men in lycra from your scooter is more satisfying than sex with a woman
You do you stud, lmao.
>>
>>2066018
As a lycra fag, that is basically what got me wearing lycra. People are a lot more dependent on hair and clothing and obviously tits than they will let on, but you can't see tits from behind, so all you have to go by is the ass and legs and arms. And ignoring the exaggerated cases of hyper-curvy women or hyper-T-shaped men, most people who aren't accustomed to seeing shaved legs in lycra can't instinctively clock if it's a male or a female from that angle, until they see the face. And since they associate that style of pants with women, it jams up the heuristics and they get confused and seethe when they see it's a dude.

Because with those tiny wheels the moment you find a pothole you're gonna need a pilot's license.
