The justice's order on Friday is based on a Brazilian law that requires companies based in other countries to have representation in Brazil. However, Musk has publicly clashed with de Moraes in the past, including posting insults about him on X.A major source of tension between the men came after de Moraes ordered Musk to shut down X accounts belonging to allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro's right-wing party as well as accounts accused of spreading disinformation. In response, the tech billionaire claimed the orders amounted to censorship.Meanwhile, Musk's internet business Starlink said on Thursday that de Moraes also froze the company's finances in Brazil.
