Anonymous Colorado publishes voting syst(...) 10/30/24(Wed)09:23:44 No. 1357708 The state of Colorado published the passwords to all of its voting machines online. Over 600 voting machine passwords were made available in a spreadsheet online through their official website. The state has said that it's no big deal and has not changed the passwords. https://www.newsweek.com/colorado-publishes-voting-system-passwords-major-error-1977046 Colorado Publishes Voting System Passwords in Major Error Colorado's secretary of state has said partial passwords for voting system components were mistakenly posted on its official website. The passwords, accessible via a hidden tab in a publicly available spreadsheet, were removed on October 24 after the error was discovered. State officials emphasized that the incident was inadvertent, has been rectified, and has not affected the election process. "This does not pose an immediate security threat to Colorado's elections, nor will it impact how ballots are counted," the Colorado Department of State said in a statement on Tuesday. Election integrity has been a central concern in the lead-up to November 5, as former President Donald Trump continues to make unsupported claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him through widespread voter fraud. Last week, Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold said the state's elections were secure after election staff discovered a dozen fraudulent mailed ballots during a signature verification process According to a release from the Colorado Republican Party, the spreadsheet contained more than 600 partial BIOS passwords for voting system components across 63 of Colorado's 64 counties. BIOS (basic input/output systems) passwords are a core component of security control for a computer system, like a master key that controls access to the basic hardware settings of a computer. The passwords in question were neither encrypted nor otherwise protected. >>

Potentially both if you work for the state of Colorado. I mean seriously. Imagine the amount of cognitive dissonance that went into that public statement>"yes, the security of the election machines in 63 out of 64 counties were compromised, but this does not pose an immediate security threat". I would be tying a noose in my office if I was forced to write that message, jesus fucking christ>>

We went through this same shit in 2020, you lying faggot. Dominion sued the fuck out of anybody who questioned the integrity of the elections. And then the democratic party cracked down on anybody who tried to access the machines to verify election security. That's literally why Tina Peters was sentenced to jail for the rest of her life. What we know now, but didn't then, is that the servers were configured in a way which objectively violated state election law, e.g being connected to the open internet and being easily accessible to anybody with a shared admin password. But the people who kept threatening us with political violence for questioning the "safest and most secure election" insisted that everything was totally fine. Nobody trusts people you anymore, retard. You are a threat to the republic.>>

It's a good thing they audit the machines with test batches of ballots to check they are working correctly and haven't been tampered with then.
