As if presidential administrations had direct control of this.

Newsflash: inflation is rampant in Canada as well, but we don't overly blame Mr. Trudeau, despite his other shortcomings.

canada has massive inflation because casto's bastard is a bad prime minister. It's biden's fault the economy is bad

If we deport a huge portion of our labor force then the cost of labor will go up meaning the cost of goods will go up and then things will become cheaper!

>if we round up and deport all the illegals that is 20 million less demand on housing. prices will drop and quality of life will go up
Increasing labor costs does not make the price of goods go down. Its the exact opposite. This is basic supply and demand theory that people learn in like the 8th grade. This basic economic fact is so obvious you're unironically sub 50 IQ or partisan politics has truly turned your brain to mush.

jimmy carter has dementia and can't walk
>>
>>1359437
>average age of home buyer is 56 due to houses being unaffordable
Can any /pol/lack explain to me why this is necessarily a bad thing? I'd like to hear an argument for why its necessary for young people, who are increasingly childless and more likely to life in larger coastal cities, to live in big family sized homes. I don't understand.
>>
>>1359685
>I think its funny as shit how commies love their illegalrinos so much more than humans that they drop all other policies to protect the illegals
You still can't explain how increasing the cost of labor would make goods cheaper. You just copy pasted the same strawman you posted earlier.
>>
All the illegals involved in the construction of Trump Tower. And how many affordable apartments were there in that building? Did Trump get his hands dirty in being personally involved in the construction of such, and ensured there would be affordable apartments in that building?
Another former president, Jimmy Carter was personally involved in the construction of affordable houses. So what's your excuse, Trump?
>>
>>1359686
donald trump has dementia and can't think
>>
The moral of the story is we need more immigrants building homes.
>>
>>1359696
Well we just need more homes, period. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme who builds it. The problem is that zoning is a local issue and everybody is obsessed with national politics right now. People think housing costs is like a presidential issue when in reality the kinds of homes that are built, how many are built and whether or not developers want to invest entirely depends on local zoning laws and tax rates. Half of the people on this board don't even know who their mayor is or who is on their city council. When it comes down to it, the vast majority of property owners don't want high density housing anywhere near their property - therefore, nothing gets done. Affordable housing doesn't get built. Moreso, if you want to deport all the immigrants then go ahead. All you have to do is explain how you're going to address the fact that the construction industry suddenly paying hundreds of thousands more dollars in labor every year is going to increase the cost of housing, not decrease it.

Maybe for forever renters like yourself.

I put forth effort and acquired skills that I exchange for a salary. After investments, savings, and bills, I use my disposable income to purchase a home for my family in a predominantly white neighborhood.
>>
>>1359685
thank you for complying and calling me a tranni boi, i give you permission to end your life whenever you feel it would be most convenient to do so
>>
>>1359695
what a coincidence, OP also has that
>>
>>1359437
now go look up what percentage of resale properties and new construction homes are owned by investment banks and hedge funds for use as permanent rentals or to just sit on unoccupied as assets
keep in mind these corps heavily outbid every person looking to buy the place as an actual permanent residence and do so overwhelmingly 100% in cash, often sight unseen, and don't ask for costly certification or inspections. it's a deal any seller would be dumb to refuse.
>>
>>1359437
How is this a federal issue when it's usually city and state level government letting/encouraging corpos and older homeowners (neither want new houses because high supply lowers the price of their rent/land) set policy.
>>
>>1360180
Americans are retarded, anon. They're obsessed with national politics because they have no clue how anything works. Half of America thinks right now that the president decides global inflation and energy prices
>>
>>1359437
Thanks to Trump enabler Biden and Harris this will get even worse.
