I loved working in my flower garden and appreciating the beautiful colors. I loved the Cleveland Indians. I was 98 years young and I loved life. This was all taken from me and from my family on April 6, 2018.

Gavon Ramsay, 17, invaded my home. He filmed me as I slept. And he strangled me to death. He chose strangulation because he wanted to kill someone with his own hands, not a weapon.

That’s how I died, alone, in the middle of the night, in the hands of my killer.

Ramsay, a diagnosed sexual sadist, undressed my dead body and sexually assaulted it for two hours. He placed me in sexual positions for pictures and videos and he used my dead hand to pleasure himself.

When he was done, Ramsay shoved me into a 1.5ft by 2.5ft closet where my nephew and his wife later found me.

Gavon Ramsay saved pictures of the post-mortem sexual assault on his phone in a secret file called “Dark.” The password for the file was “Murder.”

Ramsay’s notebook contained serial killer biographies and plans to kill people he knew.

Ramsay had been fantasizing about raping and murdering people for months and he wanted to kill someone to see how it would feel.

After considering all the evidence, a judge sentenced my murderer to life without parole. The criminal justice system promised my family that my killer would never be able to go free and hurt others. Then Ohio lawmakers broke that promise by passing Senate Bill 256, which mandates parole hearings for my murderer.

Contact Ohio House Speaker Robert Cupp here and Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman here. And contact Ohio Governor Mike DeWine here. Tell them to stand up for victims like me and fix SB 256. The following is an example of what you can write.
