File: Poll on Trumps Recession.jpg (1.31 MB, 2550x3300)
1.31 MB
1.31 MB JPG
President Donald Trump’s approval on the economy and immigration have fallen substantially since March, according to a new AP-NORC poll, the latest indication that two signature issues that got him elected barely a year ago could be turning into liabilities as his party begins to gear up for the 2026 midterms.

Only 31% of U.S. adults now approve of how Trump is handling the economy, the poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds. That is down from 40% in March and marks the lowest economic approval he’s registered in an AP-NORC poll in his first or second term.

Republicans are more unhappy with Trump’s performance on the economy than they were in the first few months of his term. About 7 in 10 Republicans, 69%, approve of how Trump is handling the economy in the December poll, a decline from 78% in March.

Larry Reynolds, a 74-year-old retiree and Republican voter from Wadsworth, Ohio, said he believes in Trump’s plan to impose import duties on U.S. trading partners but thinks rates have spiraled too high, creating a “vicious circle now where they aren’t really justifying the tariffs.”

Perhaps most worryingly for Trump, who’s become increasingly synonymous with his party, he’s slipped on issues that were major strengths. Just a few months ago, 53% of Americans approved of Trump’s handling of crime, but that’s fallen to 43% in the new poll. There’s been a similar decline on immigration, from 49% approval in March to 38% now.

Turns out you can't lie about things that direct affect people because they'll figure out you're lying.
>>
>>1464390
Why does he lie and think the public doesn't notice things getting worse and worse on his watch?
>>
Two Weeks from now. No Nintendo Switch 2 under the tree. Disappointed kids.
Why shouldn't those Republican-voting parents get their revenge in the midterms?
Telling kids they shouldn't have toys? Why shouldn't you be denied your right to political power, Trump?
>>
>>1464408
They are. That's why his approval rating is collapsing and republicans are facing an incoming midterm massacre.
>>
>>1464410
So you're saying I need to vote again this year to keep the trash (Democrats) out? Shame really. I wish that party would just all get convicted as the terrorists they are so I could vote FOR a party I like instead of voting not to get totally assraped AND to be boiled like the frog.
Fucking terrorists. It's ridiculous.
>>
>>1464409
Trump already told everyone to cut back on Christmas gifts for the kids and to basically accept a lower standard of living.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/billionaire-donald-trump-sends-christmas-affordability-message-to-parents-as-prices-surge/

Don't worry, the billionaires still get their tax cuts.
>>
These sorts of maga meltdowns are why I come to this board. No arguments just "trust me bro" evidence, and juvenile calls for the other party to get arrested as terrorists. If you feel like you're winning, you don't screech that your opponents need to be arrested and executed. During Donald's first term when the magats were still cocky, everyone argued that the polls were lying and Donald was popular. Now the best they can do is try to distract from the economic crisis, since it's so obvious things are looking bad.

I'm having to pay out the ass for groceries compared with last year, and while that's shitty, it's comforting to know that the people responsible are having an even worse time. Thanks for the entertainment.
>>
>>1464413
Or you could lobby your elected officials to do their jobs and serve the people, the ones actually suffering right now, and then spend some time each day reaching out to your neighbors and encouraging them to do that same (canvassing.)

Thats how politics is suppose to work. In fact, the founders intended that regardless of political parties, which they weren't in favor of, elected officials would eventually HAVE to serve their constituents or be replaced.

Sadly, our system has been corrupted by greed
However, I have seen the above strategy work recently (rallying people to contact their representatives/senators about X issue.)
>>
>>1464410
And don't forget congressmen from his own party are resigning out of protest to his tenure.

Not a good look.
>>
>>1464384
This right here is why I think we need to postpone elections. Trump is giving the American people the medicine they need, but Americans are retarded children who only want to eat sweets. He needs to be like Putin or Stalin and give America the spanking it deserves. The economy WILL get better in the long term. 10 years of pain for a 1000 years of prosperity. It is a trade worth making, but Americans are too short sighted and spoiled. Trump is ripping off the bandaid now and purging the government of over a hundred years of leftist poison. Stuff like medicare is so deeply embedded that it will be like open-heart surgery to remove the cancer. It will be painful, but it's better than sitting in a pot like a frog as the temperature is raised little by little until the water is boiling. Trust the plan! Trust the Trump!
>>
>>1464470
>10 years of pain for a 1000 years of prosperity
lmao good luck with that sell.

It's crazy to me that I know people personally who I think could really benefit from better welfare programs in the US, I make really comfortable money and I know not everyone can make this kind of money. And these same people that I think could use some help, they bitch about government handouts. They voted for this shitshow and now we all have to weather the storm.
>>
>>1464471
BS. He's selling us out to the silicon valley weirdos who want a "techno feudal society" that is run by them.

Its not some master plan to reset the economy.
>>
>>1464408
Because he lies and gaslights about everything, the difference between this and everything else he lies about is this is actually tangible for the average American.
Same thing happened during the trump virus pandemic when trump lied and actively covered up the severity of it out of fear it would spook the economy and his election chances, only for people to realize it was bad because everyone was getting sick and dying.
>>
>>1464384
There has never been a President that has worked as hard as Trump! Trump's hours are the longest, and his results are the best. He's stopped Eight Wars, saving many billions of lives in the process, created the Greatest A+++++++++++ Economy in the History of our Country, brought Business back into the United States at levels never seen before, rebuilt our Military, created the Largest Tax Cuts and Regulation Cuts, EVER, closed our open and very dangerous Southern Border, when previous Administrations were unable to do so, and created an “aura” around the United States of America that has led every Country in the World to respect and fear us more than ever before. In addition to all of that, Trump goes out of his way to do long, thorough, and very boring Medical Examinations at the Great Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, seen and supervised by top doctors, all of whom have given me PERFECT Marks — Some have even said they have never seen such Strong Results. He does these Tests because he owes it to our Country. In addition to the Medical, he has done something that no other President has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a Cognitive Examination, something which few people would be able to do very well, including those working at The New York Times, and he ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom would fail it.
>>
>>1464503
Few people have been able to “ace” this Examination and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other Presidents have decided not to take it at all. Despite all of this, the time and work involved, The New York Times, and some others, like to pretend that he is “slowing up,” am maybe not as sharp as he once was, or is in poor physical health, knowing that it is not true, and knowing that I work very hard, probably harder than I have ever worked before. After all of the work he has done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean “THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.” They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it. They have inaccurately reported on all of my Election Results and, in fact, were forced to apologize on much of what they wrote. The best thing that could happen to this Country would be if The New York Times would cease publication because they are a horrible, biased, and untruthful “source” of information. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Lying has consequences. Should've fixed the economy instead of bowing to Netanyahu and Putin.

>polls
>not measuring if they want things like harsher anti-immigration or relaxing it

fake and gay, fucking useless if true
>>
>>1464650
It measures voters opinions of how Trump is doing on these topics and they are overwhelming negative.

Doing stuff like saying "I made the greatest economy ever" while things are getting worse just supports the narrative he's experiencing dementia or at the best blatantly lying.

Neither are good looks. "Trumps Recession" is his to own.
>>
>>1464650
100% true.

We know it's fake because recent elections have shown Republicans over performing. And elections don't lie (any signs of democratic overperformance are only due to vote stealing, which just proves that Republicans are winning since they have to steal votes).
>>
I've seen so many "Let them eat cake" moments just this year.

>What crisis? There is no crisis! Half of America not being able to afford anything is a Democratic hoax!
>>
>>1464670
Don't forget Trump trying to frame it as "Oh you don't need to get 37 dolls for your kid, just get them 2 or 3!" like that isn't effectively saying "You will be able to afford less".
>>
>>1464668
>Shown Republicans over performing
Easier to explain that they're just rigging elections ala they used starlink to hack election machines last time.
Not the first time they're hacked machines to rig elections either, people forget diebold in 2004. Or Karl Rove attempting to hack them and getting stopped in 2012 by anonymous.
>>
>>1464650
>>1464668
Actually even Fox News polls of conservatives say they don’t like trump’s handling of immigration. People wanted criminals committing violent crimes deported. Not old cleaning ladies who have lived and worked in the USA for 30 years. Only bigots want them gone. The majority of all us citizens see the net benefit of hard working immigrants even if they are technically illegal.

Democrats have been doing great in all elections since Trump win and instantly started enriching himself and his rich friends while raising all costs on the rest of us.

Still waiting on your evidence of election fraud…

Polls are fake and gay, tool to influence the masses
they don't measure shit, the degree of gameability is so ample that it's just not even worth discussing.
The correct approach to any polls is to call them a psyop until proven otherwise. any other approach than this is ngmi.

Trumpo does that shit continuously and is correct that he takes flak for it. but it is correct if he takes the glory for it, should he actually deliver

There is no such thing as a "trump recession", this is just how badly the economy is doing when democrats propaganda does not hides it and when they don't print money to drug the economy data.
trumpo is trying to fix the economy, and the country as a whole and it won't be not-painful. especially as the biggest globohomo corporations have decided that they will endure great losses to fight it back so the economy can remain a place where they thrive at the expense of americans rather than one where they thrive with respect of americans, because the former yields more profit.

Anyway both of you missed the point. The polls, true or not, do not specify why there is a drop of consensus:
do the people want trump to go to more extreme lengths, but he does not, and therefore the drop in consensus?
or the people want trump to drop, scale back, but he is not doing it, hence the drop in consensus?

I make an example: when trump forced the states to take back the driver's license they gave to unqualified illegal that are more than 50.000 truckers. Hiring proper truckers is more expensive, which makes the price of things go up.
is people ok, with pay things a bit more in exchange for the streets being safer, thus they support trump here
or people want shit to be cheap no matter what, and are fine with illegal crushing people on the highway.?

if the people want both cheap shit and safe steet and blame it on trump, then trumpo is going to lose, but you are eventually getting dangerous highways and expensive things, despite "winning"
>>
>>1464678
And Indian H1B job stealers.

Oh and even conservatives are turning on Trump on the economy. Its been a slower and smaller shift but its there and I suspect it'll get worse as "Trumps Recession" hits critical mass.

>>1464679
>Wall of text damage control for the trump recession.
When the AI bubble pops, it's going to be the trump depression.
>>
>>1464713
zero damage control but accurate rebuttals and insight that you cannot address.

voting back into power globohomo is not going to stop the globohomo recession, but will strengthen it and is going to make the next fixer much more extreme.
>>
>>1464719
You mean the trump recession since the current recession we're in is entirely because of trump.
>>
>>1464724
recession started 4 years ago, it has not started when the globohomo journalists have begun to talk about it.
I'm sure you will be able to acquire the data to ascertain that what I just wrote is correct.
>>
>>1464725
You mean 5 years ago under trump, so once again this is still the trump recession, soon to be trump depression when his AI bubble pops.
>>
>>1464726
are you unable to acquire the relevant data anon, or you don't want to?
>>
>>1464726
Nah its "Trumps Recession" because he kicked it into overdrive and has done nothing but things that will make it worse since January 2025.

Thats why its called "Trumps Recession"
>>
>>1464728
See
>>1464732
>>
ok, seeing that the discussion is being read by other people, I will drop another few posts.

>>1464732

First anon the answer to my question is that you are unable to search for the data, and also you don't want to search for it.
While the inability to find such relevant data in 2025 is a fatal flaw, it is a fixable shortcoming. But the primary problem is the unwillingness to do it. This is usually caused by 3 factors: a temperament of excessive pride, low need for cognition, and ontology.

Fixing pride is very easy: it's a matter of mindset. Just remember that the reason you go online to find info should be because this information is necessary for you to make better choices for your life and your family's future.
Unwillingness to change idea just because the next guy's opinion appears to differ from the information you received from the first people who put stuff in your brain is foolish.
Even if you invested ego in it and defended the point in public, who cares? Tell any people who complain that if what ti takes for your family happiness is you having doubts on shit, then you will hold doubts. and fuck these people.
Everyone changes ideas throughout their life; is normal. You should have seen me and my politics at 16, I was an enormous retard.
Ontology will fix itself when you expand your source range. So will the lows in need for cognition.

my favorite poddocaster is called Romanian Vee.
Expand your sources

Why does shill-kun always type like a fag?
>>
said that. I will explain in layman's terms how all this shit works.

In the best-case scenario USA economy fully collapses in 2040. In less favorable case scenarios, it will happen earlier.

There is a really simple way a person can measure when a country is going to face collapse by checking its economy.
An economy is always divided into two forms:
primary economy and secondary economy.

The primary economy is all the parts of the economy that produce tangible goods and direct services.
The secondary economy is all the economy that has come to exist in order for the primary economy to work better or more efficiently, in short countability in all its forms.

In order to check if a country is collapsing, you have to check how well the secondary economy is doing compared to the primary economy. If the primary economy stagnates or worse is dropping, but the secondary economy is growing pr even swelling, that is the symptom of collapse. The bigger the swelling, the bigger the collapse.

The small AI bubble is a little bubble parasite over the massive giant bubble called fluffy money or the stock market.
What you really want is a person in charge who prepares the country accordingly for when the crash of everything is going to hit. and not having in charge people who engineer the collapse to seize power over you and profit from it at your expense.
