You are a dumb ass nigger who can't into spring rates. You're an NPC who has noted that softly-sprung vehicles are lowered for performance and have mindlessly concluded that this extends all the way to the frame dragging on the ground.
IT. DOES. NOT.

The suspension serves a vital performance function: Instead of launching 500+lbs of chassis corner into the air and waiting the eternity for gravity to bring it back down, and then dealing with the fucking undamped pneumatics of the tire continuing to make the entire car bounce, giving you wildly varying grip from 0 to maximum tire loading; you instead use a spring and a shock to allow your ~50lb suspended corner to ride up over the bump and then get forced right back down under spring load.
The suspension is there to follow the road to maintain as constant a level of grip as possible. In order for the suspension to follow the road, it must be tuned to the road -- and this means tuned to the speed you're expected to drive at. An insanely stiffly sprung suspension is NOT "the most performant one." If it is not eating up the bumps but instead launching the chassis into the air, you are not maintaining grip. The spring and damping rate that's best for running at 140MPH down a track is not the best rate for taking a back road at 70. You don't want your spring to be rebounding at a rate that launches the chassis into the air as you're going over the bump.

Sports cars are already designed to be as low as feasible for road conditions. You cannot lower them more at the same spring rate without bottoming out over a bump, which violently launches the chassis into the air. "Well I'll just run stiffer springs!" This is literally admitting that you're now launching your chassis into the air over every single bump, as you are making up for lack of spring travel by introducing chassis travel. Your tires are now chattering down the road instead of maintaining anything resembling steady grip.

A car with no room for suspension travel does not "look good." It looks like it was designed by someone who has no clue how a car works.

Yup. Dumbasses think a harsh ride is just the price they pay for performance when A HARSH RIDE MEANS YOU'RE NOT GETTING PERFORMANCE AT THAT SPEED.

If you're being slammed about at highway speeds and you're never driving the car at multiple times that speed where the suspension finally smooths out, your car is too stiffly sprung to be following the road at the speeds you're driving at. You're feeling the bumps because your chassis has become part of the car's handling, and the reason we don't run with zero suspension is because the chassis responds so slow that the tires chatter.

You don't want a pillow-soft suspension where the tire doesn't return to the ground quickly and so the car gently falls under gravity to be caught by the pillow-soft spring, but the car should eat up the bumps at speed. If you're being violently shaken the suspension has to deal both with the road and the chassis jumping about, and it can't maintain good contact under those conditions.
