Bros, what are some cool classic cars for like 2000-5000 bucks? Similar to something that an action movie hero would drive. I don't necessarily mean actual cars from movies, they're probably overpriced. Just something with a similar, classic action movie vibe.
Like a sleek, slim car. Something an exorcist, or a vampire hunter would ride on a budget.
I've been watching 80's and 90's movies, man. There's something about the aesthetic. I'll get something more expensive when I get a better a job.
My first car, bros, I live in a slav shithole, I can get USSR cars easily, they're everywhere, cheap as fuck, and some look cool, actually. Are they good?

You know what I'm saying, something I could blast Black Sabbath in

One of these was in death race 3000 and you can buy it for $2500. If you count tv shows, like breaking bad you can get a tercel 4x4 or Pontiac Aztec for under $5000

Damn, that looks pretty clean for $2500. Nice cars, thanks anon.

That exact one is for sale. But rats got in it so its stinky.

e34 5 series
russians make some of the most terrible cars, but you can fix any problem with a bunch of wrenches
>>
>>27604425
Hello slavbro. Should've posted the last line first because people here have trouble reading and assume you're from the US by default.
>My first car
But can you wrench? Do you need that car to commute daily or are you looking for a "weekend car" project?
>I live in a slav shithole
How's the situation with parts availability? They are hard to find for the classics, especially not domestic for your country. For Russia/Belarus and some others ordering abroad became much more cumbersome lately.
>I can get USSR cars easily, they're everywhere, cheap as fuck, and some look cool, actually.
You get what you pay for. My own experience with USSR and post-USSR Russian cars is that it's less satisfying to fix them because even the new parts you buy are of bad quality and might not even fit, and the experience of fixing them in general is less satisfying compared to decent foreign models. And for your budget you'll be doing that a lot. Adding to that, the movies featuring these cars are of some very specific aesthetics.
>I've been watching 80's and 90's movies, man. There's something about the aesthetic.
What about cop movies? Caprice Classics and first gen Crown Vics are usually rather cheap if available and not entirely eaten by rust?
>>
>>27604494
I'm seconding E34 for that Brigada vibe, but it's 7 series.
E38 and 39 also, probably the last good looking BMWs
>>
>>27604484
Not really dangerous. Just stinky
>>
>>27604494
That's a hell of a car, actually, thanks anon. Looks great.
>>27604496
Hey bro. Yeah, should've done that.
>But can you wrench?
I can't do shit, man, don't even have tools or anything. Just need a daily driver.
>situation with parts availability
No experience with cars, but I'd imagine pretty bad, since we get a lot of our shit from Russia. No sanctions, though, so we should be able to order stuff from Europe.
>less satisfying to fix them
I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
>>27604496
>cop movies
Only watched some Miami stuff for now, and Dirty Harry.
Damn, classic Caprice cars look gorgeous, very classic. Damn, looks stylish. I'd love a black one. So far, really liking the E34 BMW and these.
>Crown Victoria
The 1992+ ones like picrelated? They look pretty good, but the LTDs look gorgeous. Seems like the prices fluctuate up to 10k for the LTDs.
>>27604504
Nice, some good-looking beasts.
>>27604512
I don't know, if there's a rat infestation, you're liable to get bitten and get some fucked up dormant variation of the black plague.
>>
>>27604504
both are usually ruined by local youths, the e34 and everything before it are too old for that at this point. e38 is a pain in the ass to fix due to the complicated electronics
>>27604616
if you cant wrench then you shouldnt get an old shitbox because shit WILL break, ALL the time
and the e34 has a tendency to rust, our climate really fucks these cars
if you dont plan to spend money on body and rust repairs, or learn how to wrench, my advice for you is to stop larping. a cool car isnt going to give you any character
>>
>>27604616
>I can't do shit, man, don't even have tools or anything. Just need a daily driver.
Then better find something that runs in the first place and is easy/cheap to repair secondly. Your budget is sadly too small to buy a cool car in good condition, and even then it will require more money and attention than some common shitbox.
Also, this >>27604702 anon is absolutely right.
>we should be able to order stuff from Europe.
Are you in the EU or not? What's the situation regarding importing cars?
>Only watched some Miami stuff for now
I think the Corvette C4 is the cheapest and easiest to run Miami-themed stuff you can get in Yurop, but some other anon wrote recently that anything below €15k is shit as he was looking for one.
>Damn, classic Caprice cars look gorgeous, very classic
That's your typical USA cop car of the 1990s which is modern enough to be a daily. Plenty of those in the movies. Same goes for the Crown Vics. Town Cars (same platform as the said Ford) were pretty popular in Russia and some CIS countries a decade or so ago in the "cheap full size American classic" category.

Thanks bros
Is wrenching/repairing hard? I can build a PC.

>is easy/cheap to repair
What would you suggest, then?
>Are you in the EU
No
>What's the situation regarding importing cars?
Pretty shitty, I'd imagine
>>
>>27604616
>I don't know, if there's a rat infestation, you're liable to get bitten and get some fucked up dormant variation of the black plague.

Rats dont bite unless you attack them and they can't run away. Whenever you find them in the shitbox, they run away as fast as they can. Then you just ozone it to sanitize and vent/ freshen it a few more times, make sure they didnt chew on any important wires and vacuum out droppings/nest materials. If your looking at older affordable cars gotta be prepared for rats.

The bigger danger is wasps. Cause sometimes there could be hundreds nesting in the hidden parts of car and then you sit down and they get all pissed off and fly inside your clothes and sting you everywhere before you know what's going on
>>

Unironically a repo'd Challenger
>>
>>27604425
I think late 70s to early 80s Camaros and Firebirds are still reasonable, just gotta avoid the ones that look directly out of Smokey and the Bandit and go a bit later. Maybe an IROC.

Mercedes W126 S-Class. As a bonus it also typically shows up more as a villain's car, too.

Checked, but why 99% of the turdgen Firebirds have their headlights misaligned with the front edge of the hood? Is it so hard to fix?

Sadly you can't buy cool 80s or 90s cars anymore for that price range unless you want to do a lot of work to them to get them in decent shape, but here is a list of cool 80s 90s cars with that cool aesthetic you are talking about:

>C4 corvette (especially the 90s refresh)
>3rd gen camaro or firebird
>fox body mustang
>>
>>27604425
>slav shithole

If Poland, I saw a yellow 1980 Detomaso Dodge Omni for sale €5300

If Croatia, I dunno. Sometimes something neat like a first gen Toyota MR2 imported from Germany is available

If Serbia, Mustangs are too expensive and parts might be difficult to get
>>
>>27604425
>I can get USSR cars easily, they're everywhere, cheap as fuck, and some look cool

Have you thought about the Lada Samara (VAZ-2108)? If parts are easy to get and inexpensive then this might be a good option.

Yes, it’s just a step up from painting model figures like WH40K. You have nothing to lose if you have a car with bad paint and body damage so you might as well make the best of it.
