meh. It's a mustang. Nothing special.

a base s550 GT mogs this car in basically every conceivable metric except coolness factor
>>
>>27636702
So, every factor except the one that matters most?
>>
>>27636692
Close. It just needs a new paint job (blue, pink, white)

This but unironically

It's theoretical.
Literally based on an algorithm that uses official weight and horsepower listed on dealer brochures.
Absolute garbage and not worth the bandwidth to look at it.
>>

So this theoretical algorithm discounts torque?

>all that matters is that a car is cool
It's not hard to spot underage posters. There's a reason cars have had substantial changes over the last 60 years since the original mustang, and that's because cars are better.
Consider that guy who traded his mustang for an audi s5 did so because he got the chance to own his dream car and it wasn't that good.

you're honestly a stupid fuck if that's the message you got from me lambasting a pair of posters who thinks a car looking cool is "What matters most"
also that bumper looks like trash

I really don't get what this obsession is with crazy-high HP numbers. most of these retards can barely handle 250 HP without almost killing someone. You'll see people talking about some car that has 3-400 HP like it's disappointing or not enough. car youtubers have rotted these people's brains.

What car from the 1960's and 1970's would give me the image of a man who hates muscle cars, hates the Mustang, hates the Camaro, hates the Charger, hates big cars, and wants a car that is totally anti-muscle car in everything?

Vintage/classic cars are fucking awful. Shit brakes. Shit suspension. Vague/loose steering. Horrible road noise. Zero ergonomics. The exhaust reeks. Just awful and definitely not desirable to drive on a daily basis. My brother has a '58 corvette, a '67 corvette, a '65 mustang, and a '73 mustang, all fully restored that he stores on my property. I've driven them all many times and all of them are like this. They really have no good qualities aside from how they look and how easy it is to spin the back tires.

>>27640858
If it has a turbo then it's been pointlessly bloated.
>>
>>27641203
>turbo = bloated
You're an idiot. The entire point of forced induction is to make a smaller engine perform like a larger engine. The only other options are using the same motor without forced induction which makes less power, or using a larger engine which increases weight.
>>
>>27641632
NTA but food for thought.
>VG30DETT - fully dressed 600lbs+ - 300hp 300tq
>VK45 - fully dressed 510lbs - 340hp 333tq
>>
>>27641666
NTA but I would hope that an aluminum block engine 10+ years newer would be lighter and more efficient
>>
>>27641698
If you'd prefer a period correct comparison.
LT1/LT4 - fully dressed 575lbs - 300-330hp 340tq
LT5 - fully dressed 590lbs - 375-405hp 370-385tq
But here's the real kicker, the VG is no better on fuel even though it's so much smaller(displacement, not physically).

Yeah, and if you threw ZR1 money at a Z in the 90s you’d walk away with 464hp 400tq and a factory warranty — with no internal engine mods. Isn’t it fun moving the goalposts?

Where was price mentioned? I must've missed that. Must be why you're projecting about moving goalposts and ignoring the regular Corvette was cheaper than the 300ZX TT.
>>
>>27642881
Which car did the LT5 come in, fren?
>>
>>27642952
The Chevrolet Corvette silly. But back to the matter, why is price suddenly relevant? What's its relation to the VG30 being bloated? Why did you cope with stock vs modified? Is it because you didn't realize how heavy a VG was?
>>
>>27643027
It only came in the ZR1 anon, which is why I brought it up. But all in good fun, its nice to banter with someone who’s not a complete mouthbreather. The VG is an anchor of a motor and I won’t deny it — I just think it often gets a bad rap for the wrong reasons.
