Should i be concerned that dirt is going in and around this clutch pushing rod? This is the rod that goes through and pushes the clutch plates on the other side. The hydraulic slave cylinder which mounts on the outside of the housing (not shown) pushes this rod. >>27749800American bike education is beyond retarded, straight up dangerous it seems. during a normal training we had a lot of exercises which should be transferred from bike to bike. go to empty car park, practice start/stop (1/3 engage throttle, 1/3 cruise with pressed clutch, 1/3 engage breaks and stop). start with 3 car spots as a base. then go by 2 and your goal is to make all 3 sections in 1. This by itself should be a thing you do in any bike you're not confident with. you can do it in backyard unless it's a lawn since grass will fuck up entire thing. Once you're confident then learn to drive @3mph speeds with rear break and clutch management. in general remember your clutch is comfortable in oil pan and is designed to withstand continuous stress. I can ride figure 8 on a bike for 30 minutes engaging the clutch for most of the time and it won't burn. What I'm saying is your priority should be stressing clutch over stressing throttle. On any new bike I ride I ride smoothly by spinning engine way too high by manipulating clutch to deliver enough power. it sounds retarded but it lets me move smoothly. Only then you're starting to limit throttle to deliver optimal amount of gas to take off. Also are you sure you're in first gear? I knew some newbs who out bike in 4th and were confused why is it stalling.
