I'm tired of seeing this wheel on every car at the meets
>>
>>27827472
they look decent on a lot of cars.
overused or not
I have Forged Weld wheels, and those are over used as well.

>>
>>27827472
It's just about the safest possible bet. Comes in a shitload of different sizes, bolt patterns and offsets, is good quality, isn't ridiculously expensive and looks good on just about anything.
>>
No my problem
>>
>>27827472
RPF1, but is it overused? I don't know. It's really good for the price, so I can't say. BBS anything is overused in the VAGgot community.

I'm surprised by how much I like that Cadillac. Gives off a Eurowagon vibe.

Its a good lightweight wheel. If there's something better I'd use that. Wheel autism is something ill never understand.
>>
>>27827827
TE37 isn't a flex anymore. Used to be but now they're mid level. 4k on wheels isn't that hard. 8-10k on custom one off forged wheels? That's hard.
>>
Japs have TE37, americans have their torq thrusts they put on everything, Euros have those BBS honeycombs.
As god intended.

I always wondered why manufacturers put the ugliest wheels on every vehicle they can. Even plain steel wheels look better than 99% of what you see stock.

>>
>>27830913
I don't think it matters either way, I've had a forged wheel get ripped clean off the car in a crash. Something has to give and if it's not the wheel it's going to to be the suspension.

A lot racers use off brand wheels because they're a consumable and it doesn't make sense paying double every time one needs replacing.

Many race cars use "shear plates" for mounting suspension components like a-arms.
It saves the chassis and disspiates energy in a crash.
>>
Other than choosing a color that compliments the paint, I don't know why people have such a fixation on wheels and spoke design. Can honestly say I've never bought new wheels in my 13 years of driving, I just either ran with the wheels that came with the car or bought some used ones that came with the tires from my friends.

Some people take their vehicle to a mechanic to change an alternator.
Some people build engines in their living room.

There's "car guys" and there's "guys with cars" guess which one you are.
$100 says you don't know what model of transmission is in your car.

So much seething and butthurt from the NPCs.

Changing wheels can actually increase your acceleration as wells as reduce track times and braking times due to reduced rotational mass.
Different sizes also affect handling characteristics.
But you drive some shitbox that has less hp than a yamaha I was riding at 18 so it doesn't matter in your world.
Now breaks ovwr, get back to flipping burgers wagie.
>>
>>27831931

I'm poor. My CB7 has reps on it. I bought them off of craigslist and spent less on them than what big diesel trugg bros spend on a full tank of gas. I don't know who made them. I don't even know what brand they're a knockoff of. I paid the guy with cashapp.

I sprayed them, and any time the paint gets fucked I just pull out a stack of index cards I bought from the dollar store, mask off the tire(s), and spray them again in a parking lot.

I think they look cool. I ordered a $30 LED underglow kit off of Amazon yesterday because I think it'll look cool.

I haven't gone to any car meets yet, but if I do any someone thinks I am a poorfag than ok I guess, I still think my car looks cool.

20 years ago just about half of fox body mustangs on the road had either '95 Cobra R wheels or weld draglites/dragstars
The Cirba R is a nice looking rim but having your car look identical to every other fox in the parking lot got old really fast.
Luckily fox body's are much rarer today so that's not an issue

>>

Yeah, I kinda helped start that :) I was maybe the second guy (in PA anyway) to convert to the 95 cobra wheels, on my '88. Swapping the axles and brakes was easy, but you had to order the fucking rims from Ford and they didn't have many. I got one in Allentown, ordered 1 from California and one from Florida.

>>
>>27839439
streets of willow and big willow are both under 100 seconds a lap, buttonwillow and chuckwalla are both 120 or more depending on pace.

if you turn either chuckwalla or buttonwillow into a 100sec or sub 100sec lap you are C O O K I N G.

idk how much they are new but the MO5 is very common in Britain for rally cars in 4x108 fitment and generally go for 4-600 £ a set, maybe a bit less if it's in a less common fitment
>>
