If you don't own one of these/have never driven one you don't have the right to call yourself an American.
>>
>>27829945
I prefer the Mercury.
>>
>>27829951
Did Ford ever explain why they made the same car with three different hood ornaments?

the finest automobile ever produced. it just does what it's meant to do.

I went with a Lincoln Town Car just because every Crown Vic I went to look at was in shit condition.
>>
>>27830684
How so? They had to at the very least maintain separate signage at the same shared dealership, if not having separate buildings and more land with more people working there, just as a prank to pretend the Mercury Marquis and Lincoln Town Car weren't higher trims of the Ford Crown Victoria.

No fucking joke, I just saw one in front of my house 10 minutes ago. Its 11 PM. I was weirded the fuck out because my white vic is next-door and was wondering if a family member was using it since this one looked exactly the same, but it was quickly apparent that it wasn't mine. Pulled up a bit further to the other edge of my sidewalk and then made a u-turn down the street to go back in the direction it came from. Didn't see any antennas, none of its windows were tinted, and I didn't see a police center console, but it did have temp plates. Wonder if the fuckers saw mine in my driveway a few days ago and were thinking of stealing shit off of it.

Wouldn't be that difficult with a fleet key.

I've owned an 89, 90, 93, 00, and an 03. Also had an 08 Grand Marquis.
>>
>>27829945
Why would you want everyone in front of you always doing the speed limit?
>>
>>27829945
I have owned a 00 CVPI and a 08 LX. I never should of sold my 08. Going to buy another one next year or so.

It's pretty impressive that crown vics have been out of production for over a decade and rarely still seen in active patrol, but people still slam on the brakes when they see one.

>>
>>27831367
Kek, it's like how everyone and their mom wants to drive a blacked out SUV/Charger and drive all aggressive everywhere saying "I hate how slow everyone is driving!". Bitch, you tailgate people like you're low on your ticket quota trying to bait people into speeding up.
>>
>>27830660
Ford - Cops
Lincoln - Old people
Mercury - Middle aged people
>>
>>27830660
In terms of basedness

1) Marauder
2) P71
<<<POWER GAP>>>
3) Everything else
>>
>>27831526
>P71 in second instead of based LX Sport
I guess if you like plastic seats and cop crumbs, weenie.
>>
>>27829945
Not a fan of the whiplash headrests, as well as for the size, there's not much cabin space.
>>
>not american
>always wanted a crown vic
>ended up with a 9C1 caprice instead
I mean it's fine I guess.

I got to ride in the back of a friend's Crown Vic (with a partition) as he drove it around a race track once. That was fun and uncomfortable.
>>
>>27829945
Those are gay and shitty, I’ve driven a lot of them
Get a truck if you wanna be an American
>>
>>27830660
Ford was still under the average joe (ford)-starting career (mercury)-executive (lincoln) model. Crown vic was for work, grand marquis was for office to home, ans town car was for going out to dinner
>>
>>27831540
the caprice is the one boat that's better than a vic, you made the right choice
>>
>>27831531
>he doesn't know about the top speed and gear ratio
>>
>>27831562
LX Sports also had the shorter rear gears and in both cases, the speed limiter (~125mph) is above what you'll be realistically hitting with the car anyway since you've still only got four gears. I don't think Ford even sold them with speed-rated tires from the factory most years. Of course if you really want to swing your dick you'll get a civvy car with the Handling/Performance Package so you still get the bench seat but also the rear sway bar, 3.27s or 3.55s, air ride, and twin pipes.
>>
>>27831601
you never hopped a curb at 50 mph and kept driving
>>
>>27830692
how's the air suspension holding up?
>>
>>27831511
Where I live ain't no ticket quotas. Sheriffs funded completely through taxes. Only pull over illegals and fuck asses.

only the P71 regularly came with the chip deprogrammed

you could buy one from a police auction and it would even still have the CB radio and everything cops aren't mechanics
>>

What if I'm not broke?
>>
>>27833802
then you buy an expensive one on BaT with 5k miles
>>
>>27833802
toss a 5.0 coyote engine in that bitch
>>
>>27830696
Because non-car people in shartistan just don't buy luxury versions of cars with "lesser" badges even when they're exactly the same inside and/or mechanically. They're badgewhores and will happily pay more for the same thing with a "more prestigious" badge to impress their neighbors more.

I think I gotta recharge my AC because when I turn on the AC, it takes like 20 minutes to actually start feeling cold air. During those first 20 minutes, the air is just warm. At least I hope that's what it is because it would be a cheap fix.

Been there, done that. Got one free a few years ago, did drive the hell out of a few years till the a/c went out. Rear main seal went out at 134k. Not worth fixing, a huge piece of shit that's bad on gas.
Females hate it, everyone hates it. Not too many people want to ride with you. You do get a free pass on the road though. Floor it everywhere and people get out of your way. It's a big, dumb, gay car. It's really not that fast and drives like a boat. Sucks in parking garages.

sounds like you dont have any real friends. i cant imagine any of my friends not wanting to ride with me because of the car i drive. that sounds like disconnected trust fund baby type shit

It's true, I don't. CVPI was replaced by BMW. If I'm going to dump money into maintaining older cars it better be worth it. A 3 series and CV is a huge difference.
>>
>>27835054
kek, i actually went the opposite direction. I owned multiple audis throughout the years and eventually got sick of maintaining them, been dailying an LX now for years and all I've had to do was change the oil

Well it was pitch black and I didn’t see a curb in the middle of an unlit empty parking lot. I was going 10mph. So yes it was a mistake and my fault but I don’t know of many other vehicles that not only mount their oil pans vertically below the frame but also have pickups inside them that demolish the engine block when hit. Major design flaw. If it wasn’t for that I’d still probably be driving that car.
