These things have no right being as fun to drive as they are.

Now imagine driving something that doesn't inherently understeer.
>>
""""hot"""" hatches are the trannies of the car world
>>
>>27831857
agree, rented one on turo once and was pleasantly surprised. love how genuinely small they are, too. truly a shame they're so insanely unreliable
>>
>>27831857
I'd love to get one.
The issue is I feel like it would be a pita to get fixed if anything went wrong.
>>
>>27831857
My mom had one of these and it completely disintegrated within 5 years. The wiring for the light in the trunk shorted out and killed the battery one day because they used such cheap wires that the insulation literally melted. The interior plastics got soft from the heat and you could leave fingerprints in the dashboard just by pressing your finger on it when the car had been sitting outside. The paint started fading when the car was only a couple years old and it looked like absolute shit within a couple years. The little fucker drank oil with less than 50k miles on it. Fuck that little car, we had to have it towed twice for retarded shit. If you want small and fun just get a fucking toyobaru
>>
>>27831887
how do european car manufacturers make cars like this and stay in business.
>>
>>27831902
Fuck if I know man. I will admit that it was a fun car, but it wasn't even that small. The interior was super cramped, but the outside dimensions were actually pretty big, it had super fat doors and bumpers. I think it was about the same size on the outside as the 2001 corolla I was driving at the time, but the corolla had way more space inside

do they feel better than current fiestas?

>Hot hatch built by company that excels at making cars handle
Gee I sure wonder why this car is so fun to drive
>>27831863
>front wheel drive = understeer
>rear wheel drive = neutral steer
Ok benchracer
>>
>>27831857
Been thinking about getting one. I'm 6'2", I need a reliable car since my Mercedes is getting near end of life. They any good?

>>
>>27831938
I drove one recently and was pretty cramped in the driver's seat. Forget about rear legroom. I'm 5'8".

europoor here. minis have a reputation for being ridiculously roomy for the driver, given the small footprint of the car.
I’m pretty sure the Dutch Giant (7’2 - 2.18m) drove one for a while
>>
>>27832256
the size of this thing is an illusion
it's not that it's small like a Mini Cooper, it's that everything is sized up but retains its "cutesy" appearance
the thing is taller than a Civic and the doors are wider too

Old hondas were pretty solid except they used timing belts for way too long on their v6 motors. New hondas are retarded because they insist on using a 1.5L turbo with gdi, so you get the of oil dilution from running at stupid high pressure plus carbon buildup on your intake ports. And then because that's not dumb enough they shove a cvt in there so you get to buy a whole new transmission right after the warranty is up. It hurts me deep inside as a lifelong hondasexual, especially as the supply of mid 2000s manual civic sis slowly dries up one retarded rice at a time
>>
>>27831857
they look like a pair of high heel sneakers.
>>
>>27832305
i've seen a few posts now implying that timing belts are a disaster or something, what gives? mind you i've only ever touched toyota belts but they always seem to give plenty of warning before actual failure

I drove a Countryman rental, initially hated it, but as the road trip went on I started to like it. Its my guilty pleasure car. Is this what its like to fuck fat chicks or traps?
>>
>>27832391
Belts aren't a disaster and if you pay attention to maintenance then you should never have issues. However, lots of people don't pay attention to maintenance and will go 200k miles without ever changing their timing belt, then get shocked when their engine dies. Belts are fine, but chains are just better since they're more idiot proof. Really the only truly horrible timing belt setup is in those little ford ecoboost motors where the belt is inside the timing case and covered in oil, which is beyond retarded

>>27831946
femboys, obviously
