>see some exotic hyper car>meh>see random minty 25 year old Econoline van or 90's sedan>slow down and admire it in awe
I still think seeing supercars is neat, but I definitely don't stare them down like pristine old sport sedans or coupes.
Part of it is that newer supercars are less about being well engineered and cool but rather are primarily a means to show off wealth. A well kept car from 25+ years ago is cool because you don't expect to see one in good condition AND it shows that someone put work and care into it AND that they specifically chose that car rather than rolling with the newest whatever that happens to be on sale. A pristine old econo car or a Diablo are almost always owned by a enthusiast whereas a Huracan is 99% of the time driven by scammy brown guys or spoiled Chinese international students.
>>27832328Jealous bitch syndrome. Because you can't afford the super car, it's sour grapes.
>>27832438If I had super car money I'd be driving around in the boomeriest '68 GTO with low serial number and all original performance package and rare paint and low miles. Eropean Supercars are tacky.
>>27832328be real though, how many times is it just a 90 year old person who hasn't driven for 10 years in it though?
>>27832438One of the wealthiest guys I know drives a Saturn Ion.
>>27832328based based based. we are a dying breed in a world of yuppie wannabes.
>>27832579being rich and being a faggot isnt mutually exclusive
>>27834835Nor is being brown apparently
>>27832328based
based
I am in awe of both
>>27832328Seeing lambos and McLaren's got old pretty quick once I moved to a decent sized city, but there are still a few exotics that get my original childlike reaction, last year I saw a 2000s era Ford GT on the road for the first time and that was pretty special just because of how cartoonish the proportions are, same with the first time I saw a Lancia Stratos (actually just a Lister Bell) on the road. Otherwise yeah, an immaculate 1986 Civic, or a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird, or an Isuzu Vehicross is always gonna be way more interesting to me.
>>27832438Seething supreme gentleman
>See a D21 on the road in the rust belt.
>>27832438>REEEEEEE ITS EXPENSIVE SO YOU HAVE TO LIKE IT lmao
>>27832554If you had supercar money you wouldn't be a jealous PMSing bitch.
>>27832438Kind of. It's similar to why I find chubby girls more attractive. They're more accessible. However I do legitimately dislike modern cars and probably would buy a rare vintage car if I got rich.
>>27832364Also this. You feel there's a labour of love behind it rather than some rich guy bought the flashiest car he could afford, the end.
>>27832328super cars are a meme
>>27832579based rich guy
>>27834930Why do boomers love Cadillacs so much?
>>27834942To them the Cadillac was a sign that they made it. Maybe they drove an Oldsmobile or a Chevy while they pulled themselves up by the bootstraps. Once they could afford the Caddy and a gold Rolex, they were on top of the world
>>27834913Modern cars are chubby girls
>See same car as mine>It is in pristine condition>Feel both happy for and a little jealous of him
