Post trends you miss. For me, it's copper paint.
>>27832821Multiple performance trim options for normal family cars.
>>27832821I miss reasonable tire sizes. Namely when they still had sidewalls and wheel size greater than 18'' was treading on comical territory.
>>27832845That was a thing for like 50 years, not really a trend. But yeah, sleeper sedans were cool as fuck.
>>27832869Cool high performance factory sleeper sedans were only around for like 10 years. Everything after 1973 was a pale imitation.
>>27832821I just miss when cars came in different colors period. It seems like at least 90% of the cars I see day to day are only black, gray, silver, or white.
True front bench seatsHood ornamentsBeltlines that weren't 5 feet off the fucking ground
>>27832879>factory sleeper sedansThey didn't really exist in the muscle car era. Very, very rare.
>>27832879STFU boomer, they were cool until the 00s, maybe later.
>>27832879i think the lotus carlton was pretty great, what with all the seething around it when it came out
>>27832947>zommies think this trap mobile is cool
>>27832879Australia always had the performance family sedan and wagons up until the end, usually with a V8 or spicy 6Personally the lack of cheaper turbo-4 coupes is kind of sad for the entry level young fellas getting into cars and wanting something that's genuinely fast, decent handling and has tuning potential but I don't expect to see them ever make a big come back.
>>27832821Coupes!
>>27833010don't worry anon, SUVs are also coupes now!
Liftbacks, too lazy to get pictures, but I've owned two of them, they existed in America>95 Acura Integra>06(?) Mazada 6
>>27832821Physical buttons instead fucking tablet on dashboard
>>27832821I thought this was called burnt orange
I miss 90s RAD aesthetic
>>27833631I miss the hotties who would drive these.
>>27833181That's what I've always called it. t. "cinnamon firemist" owner.
>>27832869One of those painted in taxi yellow and made to look like the paint is 30 years old would be a sick sleeper.
>>27832845>>27832879Dodge chargers nissan maximas taurus sho and fusion sport existed.
>>27832821
Sharknoses and edges in general
>>27833036Nuke Germany
>>27834024thats just brown
80's shitbox blue, I want to see more of this.
>>27832845Any German wagon
>>27834348Nardo/primer gray
>>27834348Reminds me of the 1st gen Fit
>>27832987zoomies think its weird because it has no bing bing wahoo
>>27835031The early '00s were full of this honestly, not even a shitbox thing as most luxury brands had a steel/metal blue and even if you look at early '00s factory car photos many of them are drenched in blue filters since it was the ("futuristic") style at the time.
>>27832821>wagon/coupe options>engine options>transmission options>color options; interior and exterior>rear wheel drive>dipsticksSigh
>>27832879>le sleeper sedans didn't exist past 1973!>Posts a picture of a top trim couperetard
>>27835057>color options; interiorTruly better times
Cars being fun, cheap, and simple.
>>27832821i miss when you maggots kill yourselves doing stupid shit constantly. you should do it more often.
>>27835214i miss the nice comfy burgundy interiors and the poverty blue interiors.
>>27832892So much this. Is like life in color is a thing of the past.
Spinners. I love how absurd they are.
>>27833153This, so much this
>>27833036SOUPÉ
>>27835398There's a 50-something black dude in my town who drives an immaculate 1990 Grand Marquis with spinners. If you stop next to him at a light, he's always bumping 80s/90s hip-hop, wearing a bright neon pink do-rag and smoking newports. I'm glad the good times never ended for him. He's like a time capsule of early 90s cool.
i miss 80´´s german tuning
i miss when competition in motorsports led to manufacturers trying to one up each other with homologation special edition road going versions
>>27833631>trooner
>>27836680
>>27832845>>27832869We still have that
Euro trends from early 2010s.> Cheap hot hatches (Peugeot 308 GTI, Opel Astra SRi, VW Scirocco etc.)> Coupeish sedans from mass market brands (VW Passat CC, Peugeot 407, Alfa Brera)> Premium small hatches (DS3, Audi A1/S1, Abarth 500), still exists as Mini > French bigger sedans (Peugeot 607, C6, Renault Latitude)> Bad attempts at early small CUVs (Citroen C4 Cactus, Opel Mokka 1st gen, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mazda CX-3)None are really all that desirable though.
>>27834348Its the signature color of new e-class
>>27836794>long range RWD is cheaper than normal RWD???
>>27836824The long-range one has the 7500 dollar point-of-sale credit because it uses US made batteries.
>>27835214
>>27835068It's called a 2 door sedan fagg/o/t
At least Toyota has the GR Yaris
>>27836938meant to reply to >>27836214
>>27836938have you seen the coupe they’re throwing that power plant into? i really hope we get this in the states.
>>27836920>multiple seat configurations>all with multiple color and material optionsGAAAAAHHHH
>>27832821Two-seater supermini cars. The newest petroleum powered Smart ForTwo (gas) is 7 years old. The newest competitor. the Scion/Toyota iQ, is 10 years old. Even the native European markets have essentially accepted that the minimum size of a car must have four seats and enough cargo for two luggage cases.
>>27837161The big consideration that has to be made for this is that it's probably made for the Japanese. It's going to run into the same problem that the Miata does, which is that it doesn't fit tall people.
>>27837227Tiny commuter cars like that are the actual perfect use case for electric, I'm surprised we haven't seen more of them pop up, but I guess it's not too surprising since everyone's focusing solely on fuckhueg SUVs with inflated price tags from tacked on "luxury" features.
>>27834067Very nice, would buy for my wife/10
>>27833631This.
>>27837227>>27837275I think it's because they cant meet U.S safety standards?I think the fatality rate on those things getting railed by semi trucks and even large SUVs is pretty high.
>>27837376>I think it's because they cant meet U.S safety standards?Literally both cars were sold in the us
>>27837376I doubt that's the case since they're generally classified differently, but even outside the US there's just not much
>>27837389oh lol. Yeah I've literally never seen one of these in-person. I live in the Midwest, we don't drive anything smaller than a 4-door civic.
>>27837227>2 doorsuseless extravagance
This color
>>27837405
louvered rear windowsi know it's still available for some cars but they look like shit because they're over-the-top trying to follow bodylines or whatever.
>>27837227if your typical 10,000 American soccer mom trugg hit one of these niggas you'd be launched into orbit
>>27836920sovl
>>27837275The problem is range, it's hard to fit a big heavy battery in a small car.>>27837376Not safety but emissions. US has convoluted emissions laws that strongly favor "light trucks" and larger vehicles.
>>27837459Tiny city cars don't need range though, they're not made for going long distances in the first placeAlso that thing is hilarious and I love it.
>>27835057subaru still has all of these
>>27832821Here's a beauty!
>>27833153Actually good looking dash
>>27837227That's not a supermini, that's a city car. Superminis are between city cars and small family cars.Classic supermini examples: Sandero, Fiesta, Clio, 208, Polo, Fabia
>>27837510>Porsche cuckover>beautyNever post again
>>27836920I can FEEL this image. Shit looks top comfy.
>>27837510Why does everything and their mothers have to be lined with black plastic
>>27837658UGH! Right? So tacky looking. I literally can't stand plastic trims, it looks so cheap.
>>27832892Actually, yeah. The only time I see a blue, red, or green vehicle these days is on a truck, and it's almost always red.
>>27834024Looks like caramel to me.The Olds I used to have in gold one time got described as "oatmeal" colored on a traffic ticket.
I miss the vinyl decals on the side saying DOHC or VVTi/VTEC and shit like that. plus the vinyl stripes that they used to put along the sides of everything, and the plastic/rubber/chrome molding along the sides of cars. everything is just a giant flat field of monocolor paint, so boring.
>>27838501Damn you're right they stopped doing that on the Si
>>27832821Three of these cars are incredibly based. The other one is an Eclipse.
>>27833153which is why i will always go with mazda
>>27837232>which is that it doesn't fit tall people.I thank god (jehovah) every day for making me the perfect height (5'11')
>>27837439muh dick
