If you go with the Civic Type R do yourself a favor and nab a damper module from an Integra Type S. Makes a world of difference.

Cheap to run, cheap to maintain, not too bad on taxes and insurance, decently quick (especially after the remap), handled pretty well and the diff was like magic, comfortable enough when I had to drive longer distances.IMO going for something like an R/M135/A45 it's a waste of money since with that kind of money you can either have a nice daily+weekend car or move up into something like a C Klass/3 series
