i'm debating on buying a '21 club + brembo/bbs

the car was supposed to be a CPO car, but it has a weight sensor fault and the dealership says that they would have to replace the seat bottom which would be a $3500 repair and they want to sell it as-is. it has ~15k miles and it could use a new set of tires and 2 of the wheels are curbed because of the retarded old boomer previous owner.

dealership was originally asking $26k - they said they can come down, do you think if they would agree to say, $23k out the door (tax, title, licensing) it would be worth it? it's clearly not a perfect car, but it's also got the most desirable combo, i just don't know how the weight sensor thing really works since i only owned a NA prior and that didn't have working airbags to begin with...
>>
>>27919437
thanks. as you can see i've got the potenzas it came with still. if i wanted to be crazy and replace them well before they're worn, what would people recommend I consider?

get something cheap as fuck and hard as a rock so you can do skids easier. its easy to over grip these cars and i swear it kills the fun.
>>
>>27919474
it's not hard to skid on these as is. 2nd + a hard turn is pure joy, but feels controllable. maybe I should just ride them out till they die

yeah, the single previous owner was apparently an old boomer who couldn't drive, it doesn't have any other damage from the photos and videos i was sent, but it has some wheel curbing sadly.

i'm just wondering if i should buy this now, or wait another 3-6mo when i presume the values will tank even further like they have been doing on ND2s.

i wanted to buy a new one, but i just feel like used car values are taking a huge shit across the board and it would be very foolish to buy any new car for the next few years with the economy, elections, etc.
>>
>>27919493
definitely wait. that's a wild amount of brake dust for the rear lol whoever was in possession of this thing was not interested in keeping it clean. 15k miles is low, but for the same $ or a little more, you can get lower mileage ND2s in way better condition. it'll be worth when you get one and don't have to worry about anything, can just enjoy it.

it's kind of a tough spot, because you can get a brand new regular club (no recaro/bbs) for roughly $32k with S plan, which is okay, but i just don't like the idea of buying a brand new ND when they've been making the same damn car for 10 years now.

i just want something with low miles and not too trashed, but this one seems to be a little odd considering the previous owner did not seem to really care for it other than get its oil changed a few times. although, i've driven a few other ND2 clubs with bad mods, smoked in, fat people destroying the recaros, etc.

this one looks like it only has 1 small crease on the driver's side recaro which isn't terrible i guess
>>
Any high mileage ND anons itt? Like over 75k miles. How's the 'ol nd holding up?

T. 260k NB ac still works kek
>>
>>27919561
low miles, not too trashed is absolutely doable. be patient and wait I would say, pass on this one unless you can drive off in it for 20k. as we speak, there is probably some other retarded boomer who bought a '24 club with the Recaros + BBS at the beginning of the summer, and is about to give it up after less than 10k miles because he didn't realize how much he would hate the ride of short wheelbase + the stock tuned bilsteins. that one, it would be fair to pay 28-33k
>>
>>27918862
>Feels like it'd be expensive.
Depends on the car you get. If you get one that's a bag of shit, then yeah, the work that needs doing would probably be expensive. If you get a nice rust free one that has been well cared for, then it'll likely cost you very little. I've had my '96 NA nearly 4 years now, and the worst it has needed is a new brake caliper. Beyond that, regular service items are cheap as chips, so wouldn't cost more than any other car.

i found a 2022 grand touring for $500 more that was also posted locally last night, with only 5,500 miles, which seems to be a great value, but still..grand touring vs bbs/recaros which i'm not 100% sold on.

i just really want to enjoy a miata for the fall weather, which is why i'm leaning towards this rougher one, but it needs to be much cheaper for me to really consider it. i just don't know if a dealer will go that low, although the sales guy said that they are pretty pissed off that the retarded old boomer didn't mention the issues it had and they probably have a lot of $ into it already. so i dunno, maybe they'd move on it, who knows.

i presume there's no other mechanical issues that can pop up with a low mileage ND, right?

Are these lighter, billet pulleys good upgrade to have?
>>
Same question for the steering rack spacer. My car is lowered a bit, are these a cheaper or better alternative to endlink tie rod kit?
Does the steering shaft have room to move with those spacers?
>>
>>27923034
For the price, I'm sure you can find something else that will have a larger and/or make a more noticeable improvement to the car. That said, except for a lightened crank pulley, they can't really hurt either.
>>
>>27923039
Price wise, most of these kits are around the same price. It's an easy install that might have immediately noticable gains.
What do you mean except crank pulley?
>>
>>27923053
Lightened crank pulleys can confuse the computer, causing phantom misfires as they don't dampen vibrations like stock ones. The only aftermarket crank pulley I'd consider using is the ATI Super Damper which has improved damping over a stock one.

>>27919461
Mazda knew what they were doing when they put those tires on. If you aren't tracking it, don't change it.
They have just the right amount of grip you need and just enough slip for fun with smooth transition between.
>>
>>27919561

>>27923084
Ok. Right. Makes sense. In thinking of getting this kit.
>>
>>27923105
yeah, not tracking it. It's too new. When I've had it for much longer, and am ready to move onto something else, then I will be tracking it. For now, based on what you and others are saying I think i'll just ride them out for the full 20-25k miles or however long they should last

>>27923108
agree, they definitely kick the dust onto the front wheels really rapidly but ... those are the rears with the Mazda calipers, they definitely do not kick dust nearly as much as the brembos. And, double-so with them being the rears- they just dont take anywhere near as long to accumulate that amount of dust than the front does. I've gone a couple weeks, 100s of miles without washing and even the fronts with the brembos aren't that bad. this thing was neglected IMO but who knows really

All M2's are JDM when new. Cars have been exported over the years to rich people's 'collections'. About ten years ago there were still some for sale in Japan but the prices were eye watering. About USD20K-30K when no other Roadsters would make 10K, Prices on genuine parts were similarly priced.
Three models were sold: M2-1001 based on NA6, M2-1002 luxury model based on NA6, M2-1028 based on NA8.

i did a shifter rebuild on my 2005 nb miata this weekend, but im having trouble at the literal last part.

the upper boot cover wont stretch around my shifter. it goes down about halfway, but i cant get the rubber/plastic O ring to stretch enough. when im in neutral, the rubber sits the way its supposed to, but if i shift (usually down like 2nd or 4th) the rubber pops out and makes a rubbery “pop” sound. I need like another half inch to get it down fully without this happening. Should i cut the plastic ring and just have the rubber top? most videos leave it on, but i did see two where they cut it off. or maybe over time the rubber will just expand to stretch?

TLDR:
how can i stretch out my O ring more? Im lubed up as much as i can, and im trying to jam the rod into my O-hole, but the shaft is too big for my tight little ring.

More lube for daddy. My upper boot cover also didn't go down far enough so i unscrewd it (you've already screwed it in I see), lifted it up a bit, applied more oil to the black parts on the stick (pic rel), and then pushed as hard as possible to get it to go down.

You appear to be missing the plastic pivot ball at the end there.
That boot does slide down over the shifter. May try putting it in hot water.
It slips into that little valley

Decided against it, the car was filthy in person. Tons of rock chips. the driver's seat had a bunch of wear (presumably a FAT boomer) and the car smelled kinda moldy inside, which explains why the passenger seat sensor is fucked and the airbag lights are on - water damage. The dealer said that if I didn't buy it they're just going to send it to auction, which is a shame since it's a lower mileage 2021 ND2 club with brembos. Oh well, some 17 year old zoomer can enjoy it and trash it further now.

Are ND2 Grand Tourings worth looking at, or should I just stick with Clubs with Brembo/BBS only?

Got that MF squirt! Ms3pnp. I'm nearly done with electrical. Unless I fucked something up. I just need to figure which pins on the options board on MS I should use for injectors 3 and 4 signal, attach vvt signal as well, and it's good.
Eventually figure out VICS as well but I'll do that after it's running and live with losing some torque. I want to pull +12V from the igniter wires but I'm also going to pull +12V for the wideband O2 from there and idk if it's too much of a draw for both. I guess I could do it from the horn under the dash but I hate splicing into shit. Is the steering rack going to be a problem?
>>
>>27929514
Not the anon who posted the pic but yes that looks like android auto. Sony and Pioneer make lots of good wireless android auto ones, I have a pioneer in my Z33 and it's a huge QoL improvement. It did cost me 1200$ with install and all the parts and labour for a top end model though (leafbux)

>the steering rack going to be a problem?
The 1.8 pulleys don't work with 1.6 steering rack.
I don't think you can swap steering racks. You'd have to run all 1.6 accessories with the v belt.
>>
>>27930567
I had to swap the 1.6 alternator for a '97 due to the pulley differences but that's just the alt/wp/crank belt. The PS/AC/other-crank on both of engines are the same type. Just double checked and I should be fine. I'm using 1.6 AC and PS anyways.

>>27930567
94 and 95 1.8 racks fit NA6, 96 and 97 have different hydraulic fittings.

Time for the single yearly post in this thread of my RF. She'll be paid off next year and I constantly debate if I want to keep the car after or sell it and put it towards something else. Problem is the car will be paid off with probably only 25k miles on the odometer so I don't think I'll ever really be able to get into anything else with such a fresh chassis with no car payments as I got a crazy deal on while prices were at the rock bottom right before covid hit.

It's a perfect low candidate for a supercharger ect so I'll probably do that and keep it to be honest.

One of these is not like the others.
Miata is best, if you fit in it. Over 6ft and you will need to test fit yourself. Depends on body ratio whether you'll fit or not.
If you don't fit, Boxter is a great choice, but it's more expensive to service or repair. Also consider Honda S2000 and BMW Z3-Z4.
I'd rather a Mazda 2 or 3 than a Civic

You will never be a real woman. You have no womb, you have no ovaries, you have no eggs. You are a homosexual man twisted by drugs and surgery into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed doors.
Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even trannies who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy home with you, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected axe wound.
You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear – you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a man is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably male.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

No such thing has happened. You're arguing against someone made up inside your head.

You should consider repenting yourself, Jesus would be disappointed in you for allowing yourself to become consumed with hatred.

1 Corinthians 6:18,19,20
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Now that we live in a post-christian western world where churches are burned down without too much fuss, where's that le epic enlightenment that was promised? Didn't make Joe and Shaneequa scientists, did it? Schools are making tests easier and the kids are still having a hard time, breadth of vocabulary in official speeches became far more simplified and US politics looks something from Idiocracy. Atheism is something to grow out of nowadays.

Clean your throttle body, clean the mass air flow sensor, and if it's an NB1, do the EGR vacuum hose reroute if you haven't already. Also not a bad idea to clean the EGR valve to make sure it isn't sticking open.

Never owned a car because I live in a country in Europe where cars are taxed to hell but the government refuses to nationalize public transport so both options are quite shit. Public transport is shitting itself hard after covid due to shortages in train drivers and bus drivers and has gotten exponentially more expensive. It has become so bad in terms of delays and price that driving is actually becoming a viable alternative now. I make pennies because I just started my career and was wondering if spending 10k on an old used Miata was worth it at all?
Found pic rel for 8.750 euros:
>Built in 2015
>64.906 km on odo
>126 PK
>Soft top
I'm mostly just gonna drive it for getting to places and I just wanted to know:
1. Will I be spending lots on maintaining it?
2. Is it retarded to have this as my first and only car, because it's not really "practical" compared to even say a sedan/hatchback mazda 2/3. I dont have a girlfriend or family, so it will mostly carry myself or a friend.
