>>27986312"MAGNUSSEN HUNTS THE INNER LINE"
>>27986486>WEEEWWW TERNIN’ LAYEFThonestly I wish they did more than go in a circle for 5 hours. The builds are cool and I love muh vee ate but ASSCAR is the most boring motorsport. If they had half the amount of cars there would at least be more interesting maneuvers more often.
Probably only iconic to people who watched import drag racing or played NIRA back in the day but whatevs
>>27998469Sure thing, Hector
>>27998529If it's cool enough to be all over vidya boxart or be in a game idc it was at least iconic enough at the time
I'm tommipilled
>>27986312I like iconic livery that haven't been meme to death way after the actual teams stopped using them.

>>28000547
The nip dental clinic McLaren is kinda kino in its simplicity
>>27998393to be fair, I think it's much more of a driver's and engineer's sport than a spectator sport. it's nothing like road racing and there's a lot more strategy with drafting and passing and developing a car where the springs are compressed and you're WOT 100% of the race. sure is boring to watch though.
>>28000623It was actually a plastic surgery clinic that specialized in penis extensions
>>27999180>Bogans built the fucking carlolwhatbogans were the ones on the side of the track cheering for the fords/holdens to win>inb4 it was built by aussiesyes, the most well-funded and professional touring car team in the country at that point, not bogans
>>28000633go to a race in person one day. it's basically the modern equivalent of chariot racing in a coliseum, especially at a short track like darlington.
>>28000633>you're WOT 100% of the racethe guys in the draft can't always go WOT because they'll run into the guy ahead so they are juuuuust a cunthair under it. that takes incredible skill to know when to back off and how much to avoid the car behind passing you. when they're all running in a pack there is a tension no other motorsport has because in that moment everybody in the pack has to work together to go faster.also at non-superspeedways there is a very autistic cornering regimen involving a precise partial lift and turn-in point. as they come out of turns at smaller tracks they're practically drifting.highly recommend trying iRacing or its grandpa, Papyrus' Nascar Racing 2003. Your mind will be blown how tough it is to drive "in a circle" at racing speed.
>>28000526>alitalia is just as iconic as martini is.
>>28002219they're not always running in a pack...a lot of the race is in a single file line where the tactics are refueling and tire swaps. then someone wrecks, they put the track on caution while they clean up the mess, and THEN they are back in a pack
Trans Am racing had some of the prettiest racing schemes.
>>28002259even in those races where the cars get spread out, there is a lot going on and if you know what to look for they're still pretty interesting. on those tracks the drivers need extremely precise throttle and brake control to maintain momentum as the tires wear and fuel burns and you can see who has it and who doesn't. those races really reveal the gulf of skill between the drivers.tv coverage really makes it seem dull when you can't watch a fast guy weave his way around the backmarkers while battling with the positions ahead or behind him. biggest problem with nascar is that it's very hard to make look exciting on tv. the only way to understand is to try and drive it in a sim or watch onboards.
