It's fucking hideous holy shit. Not entirely shocking through given most ferrari's of the last 40 years have been ugly.
>>
>>28048400
Looks like some fast and furious shit a 12 year old would have a poster of on their bedroom wall
>>
>v6
Cool so it's going to sound terrible too.

If you exclude the fast and furious part, it makes it sound like the Countach

some facts I find cool about the F80:
>same e-turbo as the F1 car
>same powerplant as the 499P
>1+1, so technically is a single seater with extra space for another useless human
>1200cv in 3300lb
>>
>>28048400
it's fuckin ugly

and the daytona bar style element is completely nonsensical on this format of car AND they just did that on that 12cilindri
makes them seem creatively bankrupt

Nah, probably not as much as you think, it’s a halo car after all. They make all their money from stuff like Californias 488’s and probably the new 4WD thing

Dropping Pininfarina was the biggest mistake Ferrari ever made with their road cars. This thing is so fucking ugly.
>>
>>28048400
Too fat.
Look at that cockpit. They could've made it 60 inches wide, but instead it's over 80 fucking inches.
The obsession with numbers on the track has ruined performance street cars.

So these fuckers can make a V12 SUV but their halo car gets a V6? What?

>>28048753
>but it's a le memes winning v6
>>
>>28048753
I wondered why they were doing this if they already had the Daytona SP3 which is a mid V12, but this honestly makes sense. That V6 won LeMans, these are supposed to be dedicated performance cars and often incorporate shit from their racing program. The 288 GTO was a homologation special, F40 was using carbon fiber, F50 had an "F1" V12, blah blah blah.
>>
>>28048732
It looks like a car wearing a gas mask, it's just the 12 Cilindri front glued on.
>>
>>28048757
In the early 2000's, Ferrari was winning with V10-powered F1 cars and they still stuck an NA V12 in the Enzo. They should have thrown a hybridized version of their current 12-cylinder engine in there. Not that it would have made this car any less ugly, but at least it would stand out in a market that is increasingly (in fact, almost exclusively) hybridized forced induction powertrains.

>Ferraris are ugly now

>>
>>28048781
It seriously looks like three different teams were assigned three different sections of the car and then glued them all together. The SF90 I excused since it was their first attempt at packaging a twin turbo V8 hybrid with AWD into a roadcar. This, however, is just flat out poor design. Even worse, it's BORING. The 296 GTB is currently their best looking car (and that isn't saying a lot) and it's the "entry level" mid-engine Ferrari at this point.

Ferrari doesn't give a fuck and love gouging their customers. You probably have to own more than half of Ferrari's catalog to buy one of these new monstrosities anyways. Trash company that Porsche mogs in every way.

they made pic related following specific design languages that while far from perfect and despite the 499 being a racecar, both still have a more coherent execution, more fluent and elegant lines.
How did they fuck up this hard on their flagship model?

In Ferrari's case, you can buy any of the showroom Ferrari models from the Roma to the SF90. Just not the special editions like the SP3 and F80.You have to be an influencer tier extreme richfag brand ambassador or long time collector in order to get one of those.

Its not the same engine. Its a variation of the 296's engine, the volume model.

Ugly but tuere's thing about it I like. The late 10s-early 20s rarris are still the worst.

Top end cars are a prestige thing, the low volume and high quality by necessity make very little and may even be a loss at times.
>>

>V6 hybrid
I find myself caring less and less about these ultra-low production hypercars that sell out instantaneously, because you just know that not a single one of these is ever going to be driven hard and most will likely rarely if ever leave the climate-controlled garages.
You don't hear about these nu-hypercars getting thrashed the way they used to, such as with Rowan Atkinson putting 65k hard kilometers on his McLaren F1 and even wrecking it twice.
>>
>>28048433

I don't like the black section between the headlights. Otherwise I guess I'm the odd man out though, I think it looks cool as fuck, definitely better than a lot of what's been coming out in the supercar world in recent years. Actually looks like a street-legal race car instead of a half used bar of soap or some weird alien.

It doesn't matter whether it's V6 or V12, what matters is the performance. If a car has a 1 cyl lawn mower engine and three 500 hp electric engines, it's gonna be faster than a car with a 800 hp V12.
