why dont ford bring back the 3-5ltr i6 turbo petrol engines? v8s suck!
>>
>petrol
Don't talk about things that don't concern you poor
>>
>>28066249
fuck off DEIcel
>>
>>28066240
It's got a supercharged 5.2 liter, same engine as the GT500 but making 800+hp
>>
>>28066240
It's not going to. It's probably not gonna beat the Z06 either.
>>28066244
Wait for the 2026 Chally, it's got a twin-turbo inline-6.
>>
>>28066240
The ZR1 is going to be a highway pull missile for social media niggers. The GTD can actually run fucking fast laps of circuits, not that their old boomer owners ever will.
>>
>>28066244
Stupid cock sucker. V8 is king.
>>
God I fucking hate current modern car design. I hate how this looks, I hate the modern camaro, I hate the modern challenger. I hate how fucking ugly they all are.

When will the current design trend end? Usually each decade has a totally different look, but since 2015, all new cars look ugly. I hate the look of round curves with sharp angles that I feel started with the 2008 camaro and challenger.
>>
It straight to doesn't. We will never understand what Ford was thinking with the GTD. It makes less hp than the zr1. It weighs more than the zr1. The top speed is lower than the zr1. It costs more than the zr1. The engine is less exciting and interesting than the zr1. The name is stupid. There's nothing redeeming about it. And ever allocation is assuredly going to end up in a bubble somewhere as an investment and you'll never even see one in real life.
>>
Idk is it really trying to compete with a vette?
it’s an obese muscle car after all
>>
>>28066295
I thought the chally was dead?
also, imagine going for a turbo 6banger instead of an NA V8. same fuel consumption, 200% less emotion
>>
>>28066240
>Hows this going to compete with the zr1 c8?
It won't even though it's basically a completely different car built by Multimatic with a mustang shell over it.
This is what happens when Ford completely refuses to have an answer to the Corvette for decades. The GT is a nice car and all (>no v8) but it cost between 600k and 1600k. Ford simply cannot compete with Chevy in the 100k-500k range because they've never wanted to cannibalize shelby sales with a real coupe competitor.

>We could have had MR mustangs with 10,000RPM Yamaha V6s but they scrapped it and cucked the engine for use in the Taurus
Remember what they took from us

Ford doesn't care about the corvette.

>>28066921
It's leaving money on the table to have no upmarket trim coupe short of aventador money. Even worse if the ZR1 outperforms the GT on a track.
>>
>>28066240
Probably with superior downforce and superior suspension kinematics.
>>
>>28066240
lmao why does that mustang look like a camaro

>Hows this going to compete with the zr1 c8?
I don't know, how will it compete with the Toyota Prius? Will Ford add a hybrid system? So far the Prius mogs this thing on the MPGs
>>
>>28066929
>It's leaving money on the table to have no upmarket trim coupe short of aventador money
You really think Ford is stupid enough not to upcharge their halo car by $150,000 and they could've sold an additional 10-15 cars at that price point? What money do you think they're leaving on the table?

And you really think ZR1's will sell in meaningful numbers or occlude GT sales because it might be faster on paper around a track? Not everyone is a benchracer with a boner for tenths of a second differences for $100k price tags. Especially not the people buying these cars. 90% of them are bought by super wealthy old people. They do a few freeway rips then they're parked for 5-10 years then resold for 500% profit. How is this a trend you're not seeing?
>>
>>28066240
it's a homologation car.
it's not meant to compete with Corvettes.
>>
>>28067170
>And you really think ZR1's will sell in meaningful numbers
not that Anon, but yes
they sold over 90,000 C7 Z06s at a mean price of $97,000.
the C8 ZR1 will sell like mad.
Shills moving goal posts already.
>>
>>28067417
>the C8 ZR1 will sell like mad.
Probably not. They only sold 3000 C7 ZR1s. Part of that was the awful timing but also people aren't lining up to pay $150k for a car. Also I only see 39,940 C7 Z06s sold. Depending on the C8 ZR1 production run, I would be surprised to see it pass 10,000. First year will be very high but taper off quickly, as is the case for all sportscars.
>>
>>28067429
nigga, we already told you last thread.
the C7 ZR1 sold jack because it was basically only available for 1 year.
and everyone was waiting for the C8.
the C8 ZR1 will sell crazy numbers.

don't let a brand hurt your feelings.
assuming you aren't getting paid to shill.
>>
>>28067170
>You really think Ford is stupid enough not to upcharge their halo car by $150,000
The GT had fewer than 1400 vehicles in its total production run.

>And you really think ZR1's will sell in meaningful numbers or occlude GT sales because it might be faster on paper around a track?
There will be. The C7 ZR1 was released with for only one year and after a total platform shift was announced. This ZR1 will probably be available for three or four years and the c6 sold a bit over 4k. I'm expecting 5k c8 ZR1s unless GM intentionally limits production. The ZR1 will probably be faster for half the price of a GT INCLUDING markups on the ZR1. Ford simply doesn't have an answer to it because they don't have a true coupe platform. The Mustang is a 2+2 and Chevrolet absolutely makes more money on the corvette (their own halo car with its range of trims) than Ford does on the GT.
>>
>>28067556
>the C8 ZR1 will sell crazy numbers.
Its going to be a $200k+ car. They're just not going to sell many with interest rates still where they are. The brodozers aren't getting traded in to buy a supercar like that just because money is free.

how faggoty do you have to be to think a high revving i6 lacks emotion? na cocksuckers ! LOL!!!
>>28066811
considering the new bmw and merc muscle cars weigh as much as a suv i doubt its fat at all
>>
Is it supposed to be able to be street regged? I saw it in Monterey, did not look to me that it was intended to be something that would ever have a plate on it, seemed like a Ferrari Challenge car except without the race series and way too nicely finished for a race car.
