>>28068728Probably Michelin and continental
I only base my tire-purchasing decisions off of which tires have the coolest sidewall lettering at the time
>>28068728Yokohama
>>28068728Toyo
>>28068728I only use MICHELIN tires on my BMWs.
>>28068728Cooper.
>>28068744Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone is good>>28068887AVOID Yokohama. Meme brand.
>>28068931>Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone is goodThis is true. Bstone & Conti are about equal, and tied for 2nd behind Michelin.
>>28068728i dont know about performance stats on these brands, but i used several times continental and i like them more so than any other brand, like michelins or pirelii which are considere god tier. continental just fucking works, i use it on daily cars and theyre softer, cheaper and fit my driving style. obivously if youre super rich and need to set record time laps, maybe contis arent as good. but for spirited driving pirellis sucked ass, michelines arent that great either.
FalkenBut only the Jap made ones
>>28068728Depends what kind of tire you need. I don't use any high performance summer tires so I only have experience with all seasons, AT's and winter tires. Goodyear is the fucking worst, sub chink tier. Their winter tires suck, their all seasons are horrible and the Wrangler is just the worst tire ever. People like to suck the Michelin mans dick but my experiences have been pretty meh. I've seen weird wear patterns, their winters are meh and they don't even make a A/T. The rest of the brands probably all come out of the same factory so pick whatever's the cheapest.
>>28068728michelin if you don't need any grippy tyres in 15" or smaller. Will shill for Dunlop FM 800s, dunno what burgers get in their place. But over here they're probably the grippiest tyre anyone can get for smaller wheels. Plus they're not terribly priced either.
>>28068728I need to buy tires for the canadian winter that will last and have good ass traction on the snow and ice. Who do I go with?
>>28069048https://youtu.be/buuj99zFXvoPirelli or Michelin
>>28069048Hakkapeliitta or nothing. Ideally studded but studded tires do have some cons.
>>28068931Bridgestone tires have always been a disappointment for me
>>28068728whichever one is cheapest>b-b-but muh track!you drive a shitbox for 20 minutes with a bunch of other shitboxes it's not a big deal
>>28068728Pirelli's newest offering looks really good in tests. P Zero AS 3. Might be better than Michelin and Contis of the same category.
>>28069024>Depends what kind of tire you need.So much this. My Miata runs 185 60R14 so I chose Dunlop SP Sport FM800 this time.
>>28068931yokohama has good winter tires
>hancocklolfalken is the correct answer
>>28069049No Blizzaks?
>>28069805No Nokians either. The Blizzaks are pretty shitty though.
>>28068728I put Pirelli on my bike, BF Goodrich on my truck, and Goodyear on my wife's car. However, if I had to choose one brand for all, I would go with Michelin.
>>28068812Based. My favorite cheap tires just recently stopped having white letters, now I have to find a new cheap tire brand.
Toyo because I’m a giga weeb
I only buy continentals
>>28069814>The Blizzaks are pretty shitty though.Damn, did they change something with the newer tires/Bridgestone is cheaping out? I grew up in the Northeast with a lot of lake-effect winters and everyone from the wreckers to the road crews ran studless Blizzaks and they personally got me up unplowed roads many a time that I absolutely expected to not make it, and more importantly stop me at the bottom of said hills predictably and quickly. Granted, the last ones I used were quite a few years ago, I think they were WS50s?
>>28071803I hear they wear quickly and their traction goes to shit once they do. Most tires are good in deep snow with pavement or dirt underneath. Shits a little different when that deep snow is sitting on top of a layer of ice and it's in the -30's.
>>28068728Whatever brand is on sale that week at Costco.
>>28068728>No BFGoodrich My Advantage Controls have been the best tires I've ever had. 6 years, wore nice and even. Only problem now is that it's got up to their heads, back when I got them they were around $130, nowadays I checked their prices cause I'm replacing them soon and they're up to $185. At that price, I might as well go up the extra $15 per tire for a set of Michelin Defenders.
Only 2nd marke variants of some OEM.So Gislave, Nordmann, Kleber, Achilles, Nitto, Silverstone, Sava, etc.I also think the EU comission might be on to something, the only 2 things to really give 3 fucks about is:1. Wet braking distance2. Rolling resistance aka fuel cost 3. Durability
>>28068728Michelin is the leader but right now the cross climate 2 is the only true best tire they have.Continental has the best summer tire, the PS4S has weird wear issues, thr AS4 is loud as fuck. The best winter is Blizzak.
>>28068728whatever tire maker makes the fastest 200tw at the time.it changes a lot.whatever is faster.
>>28074508>PS4S has weird wear issues, thr AS4 is loud as fuck. I've driven and used PS 4s tires on about 10 different cars and trucks in various sizes.never had wear issues or noise issues.I've used em on small cars like Focus ST, all the way to supercharged F150s running Mustang IRS.I recommend 4S or extreme contact sport tires for ppl looking for summer tires, but can't go 200tw
>>28069024I didn't know Bridgestone needed shills
Almost all are fine.Michelin for High Performance though.Have a lot of shitty experiences with Pirelli in regular sizes though (4 seasons, winter and summer tires are all crap).
>>28068728This is such a shit reason for a thread, for most of us who just do driving to and from work, picking up our weekly groceries along the way, it's pretty much the same thing with every tire, whether it's $100 or $200 per tire, whether it's brand new or has been sitting in a warehouse for a few years, it's all the same. The same reason why sedans are all boringmobiles, it's because they're designed to get you from point a to point b while being relatively cheap to own and maintain and sipping on gas.The only real people who can give you pertinent information about tire quality are people on the extremes, people who are gonna drag race on the weekend so they get tires that don't even make it past that, or people who are going off-road, and I mean really off road, not the overland princesses in their subaru foresters with tents on the roof doing their instagram videos thinking "off road" is just driving on a gravel road at the national park. Here's a much more spicy question: What cheap/chink tire brand is best? come on faggots don't be cowards, this is your time, your time to come out, loud and proud, as a Mastercraft owner. Or Uniroyal, Or Laufens, Or even GASP!!! a store branded tire like a Mavis All Season?
thoughts on hankook all season tires?
>>28074748How did you get Bridgestone shilling out of that? Bridgestones are garbage hence why I said they're the same as all the other cheap garbage out there.
