>buying a new car >everDo people really? >inb4 poorfagThen buy an nsx, countach, LFA, etc
>>28069481the new nsx sux. the countach was overrated. the lfa is overpriced
>>28069484I meant the old NSX but you’re strawmanning
>>28069481and thus manufacturers decide that nobody wants anything other than egg shaped electric crossovers, because nobody ever buys their unique offerings.
>>28069481I bought a gr86 new last month and i couldnt be happier. Don't listen to shitboxers and busriders on here
>uuu-uuuh don't buy a new car >warranty? >lemon law? >I am very smart with my money because I am poor and can't afford a new car so I go on here to feel better about my life decisions
>>28069857Same.
>>28069481Kek I see posts on this board all the time about poorfaggots having to fix their shitbox every couple of weeks when it breaks Time is money for me. I cant be thinking about stupid shit like that. Mr goldberg expects me to be at work at 9am sharp every weekday. And thats how i make six figures.
>>28069882I make 6 figures and I drive a 2000 Lexus es
>>28069959what does that have to do with what i wrote
>>28069481Where do you think used cars come from?
>>28069481Nobody sells a car that isn't a piece of shit. People sell cars when they know the vehicle is at death's door and is going to require imminent expensive repairs to keep on the road. On top of THAT, every single dealer or private seller is going to bullshit you about the state of the car.>Yeah, the car is great! No problems at all! I love the car! That's why I'm selling it and spending a lot of money on another vehicle so I don't have to drive it anymore! This is what usedfags actually believe. ON WHAT PLANET DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!? Buy new, you're supporting the manufacturer and not a vulture. You know exactly what you're getting. You don't have to worry about how bad some retard abused it.
>>28069865>be me>buy used 2000 sports car>it was less than half it's normal price because engine trouble>mfw it was just dirty fuel injectors>mfw I now drive a 22k mid engine car for 8k and a set of injectors>mfw it's right about to hit classic status>mfw it will be drift taxed for being the last rustless option in it's line.I've always bought used and i always win
>>28069985You're supposed to go into a used car knowing full well what you'll likely have to address and be able to do it your self. Complaining about it like that just outs you as a /n/igger
>>28069985I bought a new 2019 base WRX new and it blew its engine before 5k miles. Dealer bought it back and gave me a discount on a new 2020 premium that I sold after 3 years and 10k miles because I realized that I just plain didn't care for WRXs after pining for one for nearly 20 years. Also having worked at a dealer people sell their cars for more reasons than you might imagine. If its something sporty owned by an old person they may no longer want to deal with the inconvenience or their wife has complained long enough. If they're selling a small truck it may be they need something a size up or vice versa. Maybe they bought it then got laid-off a year or two later and would rather have cash in hand than a depreciating asset. If a vehicle has full service records and doesn't have some known catastrophic failure point buying used isn't scary. I always hope that I see my WRX while I'm out but have yet to. Feel bad for the sucker that bought it used for 29k when I bought it new for 27k out the door.
>>28070005>WRXs after pining for one for nearly 20 yearsBut they were good back then.
>>28069999Or I could just buy new or even lease and not have to deal with the peasant shit of having your car constantly need repairs?
>>28069481you say this and then complain when manufacturers don't make any cool/unique cars anymore
>>28070007Yeah, for better and worse the WRX is still stuck in 2005
>>28069985I've so far bought two used cars, one Alfa Romeo that was 12 years old at the time, and I've had it for a couple years now.No issues.I've recently bought a used BMW that is 8 years old, just had my first service. No issues.Maybe I'm just lucky.
>>28069481if i ever had new econobox money i would never buy an econobox. you can buy so many cool fucking cars for a current year econobox.
>>28069882my car is worth $367 by my insurance and I make $142,000 a year.six figures isn't what it used to be.it's not even middle class anymore.
>>28070544>six figures is not what it used to beThis was such a blackpill to me, don’t get me wrong I was pretty comfy when I was making 6 figs but my entire life up until then I thought that was “made it” money. Half a million is the new 100k, and ~70k is the new 40k
>buying new cars is for retards>WHY DON'T THEY MAKE CARS I LIKE ANYMORE >:(What was his fucking problem?
>>28069882>>28069963>>28069985This. Buying used is the ultimate cope. Here's the proof:>>28069994>>28069999
>>28070007>>28070018I mean, why mess with automotive perfection after all.
>>28070544I make almost double you and i drive a $30k car. whats your point. as long as our cars get us reliably to work thats what counts. in general a shittier car will be less reliable.
>>28070709my point is flexing about expensive cars is dumb I also make way more than $140,000 a year.just my day job makes that.instead flex about income levels.
Let the plebes and suckers buy them new so I can swoop in and pay half when they dislike it after 2 years ownership
>>28071103Poorfag cope, the only cars depreciating like that are EVs.
Sorento vs Highlander vs Countach. Yup.
>>28071103more like youll be paying for an expensive engine rebuild when jamal thrashes his new car and gets it repoed >>28070887flexing in general is dumb, the only thing that fuckin matters is genetics. i would rather be a 6'4 homeless bum than a 5'6 guy making $500k a year...
>>28071103>>28071145Plebeian cope
>>28069985>Nobody sells a car that isn't a piece of shit.Yeah, that's the $5000 car market, you immense poorfag. Meanwhile in the actual decent car market people just get bored of stuff, or want something else, or buy something new because they must consooooom. So you buy a nice car used from someone who isn't a minority.
>>28069481People buy new daily drive utility vehicles (CRV's) but for an enthusiast you'd probably be better off with a kitcar from companies that offer complete kits. I can't think of anything more cucked than driving a modern "sports car" that weighs a fuck ton because of safety regulations. I mean it makes no sense unless you're just trying to show off but that doesn't make sense either because unless you cover it people can still see it on the trailer.
>>28069985They hated him because he told the truth.
>>28069857>>28069873Imagine buying this entry level 'sportic' new car. Or did your mom buy it. My young anon won't buy used good deathbox!. Oh this new midly powered nippon only 29 ninety ninety nine? It suits him!
>>28070591>Half a million is the new 100kAs soon as I thought I've caught up the goalposts get moved 20 miles down the roadFUCK HUMANITYDESTROY SOCIETY NOWGO GO GO
>>28072855Move smart and you’ll still be /comfy/ anon, you just won’t be “made it” comfy, unless you get lucky/invest it right. Greater make it potential though for sure, like exponentially more potential than someone making 50k a year
>>28069481never bought anything new after 2012
>>28071103would
>>28069985alot of people actually drive their car for like 1-5 years and then trade it in while it still has resale value and then get another brand new one, but that's upper middle class money burning, I wouldnt be caught dead in a late model cause I am not a cuck with low t.
>>28069985>Nobody sells a car that isn't a piece of shit. This includes new cars. So why pay new car money for a piece of shit?
>>28069481Tax deductible sucka
>>28073410Only legitimate reason in this thread
>>28072854I bought it outright myself. Quit hating and go back to driving your 2010s shitbox
>>28069481I've always wanted that experience of buying a brand new car, then keeping it and documenting every single thing i do maintenance on to see how long i can keep it alive until something fetal breaks.
