I was driving and a notification popped up on my dashboard saying "Speed electronically limited to 129 MPH". How can I remove this? The speedometer goes up to 140 and I have every intention of using it. I drive a chevy impala if that matters.
>>28071359have you tried shoes with a thicker bottom? they should push the pedal down further, should override the ecu
>>28071359If the ice cream machines are always down at the restaurant, what car part equivalent would always break in a McCar?
>>28071390the air conditioning
>>28071382:(
>take speedo needle off the peg>No more limiter
>>28071359Off to the tuning shop you go, Tyrone. Or, conversely, you can quit driving like a nigger in a shitbox.
>>28071359drive it off a cliff and see if terminal velocity for a chevy impala is 140mph
Disconnect the speedometer sensor from the transmission.ECU can't cut out the engine if it thinks you're just revving at 0mph in a parking lot.
>>28071359You don’t need to go that fast.
>>28071517would the car not recognize its in top gear and limit rpm?
>>28071359Yeah, because it probably has H rated tires on it from the factory, so it's limited to 1 mph below their test speed. Since you drive an impala, the tires on it now are probably mismatched cord-showing ching chongs and will explode above that speed. Proceed with caution.
>>28071359>remove limiter >goes 140mph>China shit driveshaft explodes >OP dies.
>>28071517You were supposedly able to do this on 2000s s10. No more limiter but also no speedometer or odometer. I never tried it
