Why are they so taxed
>>28071773Because they're reliable, durable and practical. Even at 200k+ miles they still have lots of work life left in them. They're also the perfect balance of not being too old but not being run by 50 different computers. t. Yukon XL 2500 owner.
zoomers turning them into cult cars like miatas thanks to facebook pages where they pretend theyre dumb rural retard boomers for laughs

>>28071773Last generation of fairly simple, good looking, utilitarian trucks. GMT400 is better imo, but GMT900 is a huge downgrade.
Hello thread. Recently noticed my gauges were all sagging upon startup after stopping at a store. Off and on fixed it but this is the first time I've noticed a gauge issue in all my years of ownership. I've heard these are notorious for gauge issues but I've been lucky I guess.
>>28071773i thought i was getting ripped off so bad when i bought my single cab but they're already going for much more a year later
>>28072936They'll eventually die, you just happened to get a decently made gauge cluster I guess. It really is a meme with GMT800s. The amount of broken/tweaking out gauge cluster videos of this gen is insane. Worst part is if you avoid it by buying a GMT400 all you get is interior panels and pieces that disintegrate. The only category that GM trucks win in: they usually always start.
>>28073054it’s really only a problem with 03-07 trucks(the ugliest facelift ever) the 99-02 trucks are pretty solid
>>28071773Mexicans. I sold a 2009 regular can for 15k with 120k miles and it was just the wt trim
>>28071773God machine
>>28071773it's the last era where trucks were made to be durable utilitarian work vehicles instead of SUVs with 5ft beds
Reliable workhorses. My FIL has a 2002 with over 200k in it. Has only had to replace an O2 sensor, some bearings in the drive shaft. They go really far with basic maintenance, but that's about every truck prior to V8 cylinder deactivation.
are GMT400s getting cheaper now that these are becoming Edgar's first truck?
>>28071773kind of miss this era of GM in general.
