The malaise era is officially over -- GM has annihilated the competition. Germans are going bankrupt. Japs are stagnating. God bless America.

GM is permanent malaise
Ford is fairly consistent post bailout
Chrysler is one Biden debate away from death
Tesla is slowly sucking the life out of all of them

Illiterate, ESL, non-comprehending moron.

out of all of them, GM had the biggest turn around. they make the best EVs besides Tesla. they actually tried to make an affordable EV while Tesla has yet to enter that market.
They have greatly improved the Cadillac brand.
They moved the corvette up market into the prestigious sphere with the 911 and Ferrari.

Ford is far more conservative. they don't want to do anything risque with Lincoln.
They still don't have very good EV offerings.
The mustang is probably the most ambitious I've seen Ford get. they're taking it places they never would've done before.

Chrysler is just hanging on. they've been absorbed into too many manufacturers.

The malaise era NEVER ENDED it just shifted in form and intensity
>begins 1971
>intensifies 1973
>REALLY intensifies with ~1980 shrinkflation
>Thru 1980's performance slowly recovers while reparability and material quality nosedive
>Serviceability and material quality stabilize ~1999 and slowly recover while styling fucking dies
>high end luxury cars get acceptable interiors ~2005
>'08 fucks up build quality for a moment
>styling and (finally) interior quality recover ~2014 before nosediving again
>Performance apex reached 2019-2023
>Nu-overs already getting quite anemic compared to cars 5 years older
Prepare for cars to get fugsloew for a while, there's a chance the C9 is slower than the C8 with how things are going

I tried the r35 in assetto the other day and can’t wrap my head around its garbage awd drivetrain.
Understeers like crazy but without the nimbleness of a fwd.

It's so cool winning all the time at basically everything. Especially all of the cool stuff
