For a while I thought I bought a stolen car that had the title washed, but after checking the vin through the ECU, that doesn’t seem to be the case. It got recertified at some point before I got it, and it’s got a ton of Gucci aftermarket parts on it, and it cost me $10k when a clean title example was $30k. I’ve had it a few years now and drive it everyday, had zero issues. It’s a Florida car so maybe it went through a hurricane, but I don’t think water ever got into the interior because it’s minty. Even the underside is completely rust free. Who knows. Love me a proper shitbox. Simple as

With the blow off valve and upgraded turbo + intercooler it makes all the right noises I think the Parisienne would definitely be worth a paint job. Said he'll color match them that spring since winter was starting. Months went by and he never installed them even once summer rolled around then he just never came back. The four pin module that I need is around $40 (at RockAuto) and is the GM AC Delco oem unit. You should buy two and keep a spare in the glovebox because shit happens.The rest the ignition system has to be the correct spec parts to make them work properly though. The wrong rated ignition coil, corroded wires, bad battery, bad alternator, poor ground connection, water/rain leaks from rust holes or bad rubber seals, exhaust leak cooking the module, etc. can destroy them or just cause weird failures. But the HEI modules are reliable for the most part or at least far more reliable than what other manufacturers were using in that era.OEM works best from what I've dealt with because I don't want mystery rated dubious quality parts. I'm just driving to the store, work, etc. and want to get home safely while enjoying my vintage car.
