>>
Don't you mean Rally Racing?
Its called Rally Racing.
>>
>>28102235
is the car not still?
>>
>>28102233
checked and rallypilled
>>
>>28102255
also checked and rallypilled
>>
Why did rally cars go from being bespoke sportscars to hatchbacks? Why were so few sedans or coupes run compared to hatchbacks?
>>
>>28102436
Hatchbacks are the optimal body style. You want a very short wheelbase and minimal overhang front and back, a front-mounted engine (mid engines like in the group B era were , and room for shit like tires and tools.
If more marketable body styles performed as well, they'd use them. Nobody buys hatchbacks anymore.
>>
>>28102759
>(mid engines like in the group B era were
mostly an attempt to compensate for stone-age diffs and suspension*
>>
>>28102235
Do you mean rallying?
It's called rallying

Wasn’t there a Rav4 rally model made once?
>>
What's the best car to larp as a rally driver under 5k euros?
>>
>>28103602
alfa romeo mito QV or renault twingo RS
>>
One day I'll buy a classic like a TR3a or MGC and go historic rallying.
Dream would be a Nissan 240RS, what a unit.
>>
>>28103638
I was looking at mitos, I like them but I'm kinda afraid of alfa maintenance
>>
>>28103692
They're Fiats underneath. Basic fun with added pretty. I know a couple of women owners. Did I mention basic fun with added pretty.
>>
>>28103711
What are the differences between regular 1.4 mitos and qvs? QV goes for 6500 here...
>>
>>28103721

>>
>>28103744
It's just 15hp, I doubt it that it's that big of a deal. I'll test drive the normal one and see if I like it

technically fiat 126 was used in rally, but its kinda garbage

speaking of lancia, aside from being a poorly thought advertisement, what's the point of pic rel?
lancia is nowaday nothing but a stellantis necrotic branch located in an irrelevant shithole
Anyone who think that this would mean anything is a delusional fool. This thing has nothing to do with >>28102233 even factoring that the delta itself was just a common 4doors commuter and the rally project was a huge marketing campaign

There are four different companies building homages to the Delta right now, and instead of playing on that hype and nostalgia and building a boxy, retro hot hatch like everyone else is, they release this blobby, squint-eyed monstrosity as the Ypsilon. Fucking madness. Imagine if, in today's market of air-cooled restomods, that Porsche killed the 911. That's the level of sheer stupidity that Lancia is operating with right now, their whole management ought to be gutted.

They had very little in the way of power limits. Teslas and the like would struggle to launch like an unrestricted Group B car. 2-3 seconds to 60 on dirt and full contact racing from then on.

Your basic short quattro is a wonderful thing to see. A friend had a regular one that would get to 1000hp with the nitro on when it felt like it.
It usually sulked in the back of the garage leaking fluids.

In both cases the main issue was with the tires. The FC1-X was on wide slicks with studs haphazardly stuck on them, and the Dakar car was on its normal Dakar-spec tires, while the Quattro was on proper snow tires. That's a huge difference in grip.
>>
>>28105340
Group B was stupid. Slow brittle cars with goofy drivers. Look at this shit absolutely humiliated by the 9000 folded nipple shitbox.

can you show me the significant more power of a group a from the good old group b days?
0-60 in 3s isnt fast or what?

2013 peugeot 208 t16 pikes peak for example is quite faster but dont forget the track conditions.
with that slip, what could be significantly faster than 3s?

I wrote this because everyone always acts as if the vehicles of the 80s were slow, which is utter bullshit.

homologation regulations
