Happy Saturday! What are you guys working on this weekend? Blog post about repairs. Discuss tools.>why would the engineers design it this way? Idiots!
I'm afraid that people do not work on their cars anymore. If you haven't noticed, this board is completely dead.
>>28105258Does this mean that engine swaps in Forza don't count ?
>>28105258Yeah, the difference between now and even just a few years ago is jarring.Anyways today I've begun the process of bringing my old celica back to life. Cut out part of the sill and straightened a pretty big dent that was there. Tomorrow gonna cut out more metal and start sizing up the replacement sill and maybe even start making custom patches for places that the replacement sill doesn't cover.P.S. Maybe the reason why this board is so dead is the fucking 15 minute timer that I have to let expire before I can post this. Chink moot is fucking up big time.
>>28105331That's nothing.Previous owner jacked up my car from the sill and of course it gave out and smashed the whole sill inside, have to cut the whole frame out and rebuild everything, it's so badly fucked that you can't straighten it out anymore.
Finally got the slave on working, in theory we're back in bidnezz. Also replaced the dampers on our V8 Pilot, which was a ball ache in and of itself.
Bought chink LED headlights and installed. My car did not like them. It would ding that the headlights were on when you would remove the key from the ignition. Wasn't causing a parasitic draw though, so idk. Going to return them.
>>28105258>>28105331Everyone only wants to discuss ugly, slow, gay, pikachu commuter economy cars. It's fucking bizarre. But I changed all the brakes on my E39, and the rears on my E92. Have to order a Turbosmart blow off valve so I can do the radiator and charge pipes on the E92 in one go
>>28105369>Everyone only wants to discuss ugly, slow, gay, pikachu commuter economy cars.>posts an ugly, slow, gay, pikachu commuter economy car
>>28105394He posted a thumbnail of an ugly, slow, gay, pikachu commuter economy car.>>28105369They've made anything that's fun unaffordable and anything old that was fun is now a collector item.
>>28105394Kek weeblets are so fucking delusional goddamn
>>28105402>They've made anything that's fun unaffordable and anything old that was fun is now a collector itemNo they haven't.Just get an E24 635CSi, E30 325i with a huge turbo, E31 850CSi, E39 530i, E92 or LCI E90 335i or M3, F10 M5, W124, R129, W140, GTAm, Delta Integrale, 964, or 997 already goddamn
>>28105258I need to do an oil change. But instead I decided to make kebabs
>>28105410>the gaywrenchlet tastelet is also a terrible cookWhoulda thunk it!
nice thread faggots anyways i did a fork rebuild on my mtb. did the shock a few months ago too
>>28105404as an europoor all of those except the W124 are unaffordable to an ordinary wageslave
>>28105258correct
Both sides are haters. I hope you all drown
>>28105441
>>28105252Making brake lines today. Never done it before, it’s going kind of OK I guess. If they leak I’m gonna blow my head off.
>>28105437The cars I listed are mostly cheaper than a new matsuda or goyota. Mostly.W201 and W202s should be on there also
Is it ok to jack up the car by the rear diff to put it on two jackstands? Is there a place like that in the front?
>>28105404>No they haven't.>half of the cars on the list are unaffordable collector items
>>28105905for 4link/straight axel you can lift it by the pumpkin, axel tubes or whatever, dunno about irs.
>>28105905>Is it ok to jack up the car by the rear diff to put it on two jackstands? yea>Is there a place like that in the front?sometimes
>>28105969My favorite thing about this “regular customer” lady’s Honda Element… it has awesome accessible front and rear center lift points that are so easy to use. The downside to that car… motor mount needs to come off to change a serpentine belt.FFWD to the wife’s Civic, on the rear it has a little doohickey that looks just like the Element’s lift point. So I figure that’s just a honda thing, they give you good center lift points even if the one in front is impossible to reach without a super super low and long jack. I go to put the jack on the rear one and it begins to cave in the compartment under the trunk where the spare is stored. I have no idea what that tab is for.
>>28106470Nice tray. Is it magnetic?
This bitch has a blown out asshole.
>>28107882In a good way or a bad way?
>>28107883Her special pregnancy content was her peak.
holy shit does this stuff smell like assholewhy didnt anyone warn me?
>>28106470>The downside to that car… motor mount needs to come off to change a serpentine belt.uhhh i've had no problems changing the s-belt on my 2.4 accord with the mount on. just fish it through, seat it on all the pulleys and send it. get a skinny friend with freakishly long armsremoving the timing cover without unbolting P/S is a pain in the cunt thoughever, hope you don't have to do valve lash any time soon>>28107882that's rich
>>28105258I spray painted my drums blackThe shitbox is currently in a functioning state, so I don't actually have anything to post about
>>28107877Nah they’re silicone, no magnets. I like em though, they’re fairly heavy and a little grippy and not sure floppy so they lay across the top of an engine well.>>28108303It’s made with some goofy goat secretion or whatever bullshit.>>28108315I may be retarded, I can’t remember now if it’s that the belt runs around the mount or it’s just a huge pain in the ass to get to the tensioner. So I remember I did some PS pump work on that car, and I pulled the upper mount for that. And then I swapped a belt later and that time with a brand new belt, the tensioner had to come like all the way forward and there was no damn room for the wrench because I didn’t have a super thin serpentine belt tool on me, so I had to loosen the engine mount and lift the engine a tiny bit with the jack to get enough room for the wrench to loosen the tensioner all the way.
