Around 2019-2020, here in the US at least, a lot of people stopped really caring about stop signs. I mean, rolling stops were always a thing, but around then it evolved into a "rolling slow" than a stop. Whatever, as long as you yielded to the primary road, it's fine. If it's 3 AM and no one's there, who cares, right?Recently I've been noticing this "rolling slow" turn into more and more people completely ignoring stop signs and just blowing right through them. No, I'm not talking intersections in fancy neighborhoods where there's no traffic and a bunch of unnecessary 4-way stops. I'm talking about people blowing stop signs coming off of side roads onto busy 45 mph roads. Everyone is starting to do this and it's really annoying, especially when I have to slow the fuck down for you while I'm pulling a big ass trailer, which pisses off whoever is behind me because they don't know why I'm suddenly slowing down for no reason (they can't see past the trailer).Some of them know they're being an ass and have the decency to floor it to get out of the way, but a lot of folk do it and then just accelerate as slow as possible.What can we do about the rapid decline in the quality of drivers? The police aren't doing anything except for speed checks along interstates. All of these issues are increasing driver aggression on our roads. I don't blame 'em, it starts to get to you after a while, but I don't want to be in a bad mood behind the wheel.For me, I've been coming to full stops at stop signs, even if no one is at the intersection. I can only imagine the amount of seething that comes from the driver behind me who also has to full stop (because they tailgate you anyway).

It completely caught her off guard because she though only traffic lights had cameras. Evidently, other places can have full stop cameras. It recorded her doing the "California Stop" which is basically slowing down to almost a stop and continuing to roll through the stop as she made a right turn
If there it 100% visibility and the road is totally clear I just roll through at the bottom of second gear, even onto main roads.If there isn't full visibility or a car is coming, I come to a stop.Not a big deal.

The cameras now ticket for various things such as:--- speeding in residential area--- speeding on arterials--- traffic lights--- stop signs in problem areas--- school zone speed limits--- school zone right of way (MUST stop if kids waiting to cross so if you force the kids to wait by traveling through, the robot will issue a TRIPLE PENALTY FINE ticket because the city council voted school zone tickets can be triple fine if school kids are present in a safety violation situation).--- speed violation in some church school areas--- passing school buses stopped to pick up or drop off students in several high usage zones since some car drivers refuse to stop for two minutes as the buses stop along the road to pick up or drop off. If you get such a robot ticket, no need to go to court to protest because the judges do not forgive passing the school bus

>>28105277I have the opposite experience. Half the time I'm going through neighborhoods in my city, a 4 way stop will have 2 of those ways be a stop. I'll be sitting at a stop, someone is coming down the road perpendicular to me, and what do they do? Come to a complete stop, and stare at me to go. I'm the one sitting at a stop. They have no stop sign. Most of the time I just go rather than signal to them to go, because I assume they're all not playing with a full deck as it is.
