>looks like shit when it came out>suddenly looks good
>looks like shit when it came out>still looks like shit but now I got used to it
>>28105540true - why is that
>>28105554cus at the end of the day highly paid designers and tons of iterations were involved
>>28105554Its contemporaries got uglier so it looks less bad by comparison.
>>28105534It's exactly opposite
>>28105534>3800lbs How did they do this?
>>28105606Lead and pigfat.
>>28105534I always liked it for its boxiness. It's really only the head and taillights that look egregiously chinky.
>>28105534>>28105656I also always liked this since it has that 90's/00's JDM bodykit vibe.I also agree with the cheap-looking lights; more hate for the taillights.. I can kind of accept the headlights.
>>28105606Literally heavier than an e39 m5. And the new m5 is literally heavier than an f150. Doea Bavaria (/Mexico) have lead in the pipes or what?
>>28105554I understand.I cant put myself in that position.for me an ugly car remains ugly.Im not too quick to declare desgin ugly either.I have to see it for myself and need several perspectives.but then its settled for me.my best guess:these people identify the car with the brand and because they think the brand is so great, there must be something to the design.so they look at it and think to themselves 'it must be good' and repeat until it works idk.
>>28105656The chinks and their prowess for aftermarket headlight designs could easily fix the design, half the reason I hate the newer 2 is because they gave it Camaro headlights and a strange set of squiggly taillights.>>28105577These are aging really well, and M235i/M240i models are starting to dip down in price quite a lot. M2s as well, but they're still expensive.

It's a modern e30/36... I've always liked it. People just think they're interesting if they hate new stuff and revere the older stuff.

>>28105534They used to be understated but now they're overstated. Can't help but love these little coupes since the e82, but this one does look a little too computery designed.Seriously considering buying an e82 135 coupe n55 with dct. Found one at a good price but it's got 140k miles, XHP stage 1 and spotty maintenance. Not sure of the risks involved here so didn't pull the trigger just yet.
>>28105534It was designed by Mexicans and took it's inspiration from their womens fridge bodies.
>>28105534>looks like shit when it came out>suddenly looks good when it's parked next to a g82
>>28105534This but with the sniffers.

I saw one in person. Its alright. It has its own theme going on and i like it for it. Red is definitely one of the best color on these though. Black is probably the best color since it sort of hides the weird design
