>depart from founders vision>build more and more high spec high overbuilt shit>keep ramping up prices>costly options creep intensifies>profit falls flat>finally reconsider WWHD (what would hennery do)>build lightweight unsentimental vehicle designed around affordability and utility, keeping the lineup svelte and easy to understand >instantly fill up que with back orders 3 years outJust why are they so retarded? What took them so long to finally build a truck Henry would drive?
>>28107134They jacked the price up way too high on the 2025. I would never buy one now, you may as well just get a midsize at this point.
>>28107134>back orders 3 years outBut number of orders doesn't necessarily mean maximum profit. It's more profitable for them to sell fewer, but more asspainsive truxXx.That's what every otto-maker discovered during the scamdemic. So now we have a future of lower supply of super rape-off priced vehicles, targeting the small group of wealthy people (of which there are enough to sustain the economy and we normal people become an increasingly downtrodden slave class)FUCK THIS PLANETDESTROY HUMANITY NOW
>>28107134>nu-ferd>overbuiltlmao
>>28107151i cant get laidbillions must die
It is the price point, that is why it sells so well. Because people can't afford groceries, let alone new trucks with a bunch of features they don't need that add to the price point.People need trucks for work and life, for industry, public and private. Just an affordable truck that works, exactly as you said. Times are hard. This costs the same as a Hilux, but this is American industry. I'd order a fleet of trucks like this in factory white.
>>28107134Glad I bought my fully loaded lariat hybrid maverick when it was still under $30k
>>28107138They start at $26. The Ranger (the next size up from the same manufacturer) starts at $33k. 26% more is substantial.OP is correct. If not, please show examples of better options.
>>28107205Yes, 8 speed automatic transmissions/hand grenades waiting to explode are a bad idea.
>>28107339sounds like they weren't overbuilt enough
>>281071511. You talk like a degenerate2. You are full of bullshit anywaysPeople need trucks, they aren't made for rich people or as status objects. Trucks are made for work and industry, rural terrain, for working class people. This truck costs like 20 grand and is made for doing actual work. If profits were flat from the previous models and they made three years of sales from back orders fom this model, then it is more profitable to manufacture this. It is not complicated.
>>28107347If trucks are made for the working class, why does the average truck sell for over $60k?
>>28107347>maverick>work trucki would be surprised if this guy knew which end of a claw hammer to swing towards a nail
