Are you driving a Hybrid?
Did you ever have to get the hybrid battery replaced? (12V one does not count).

I see videos of dealers saying they never had to do one even on older models but I dont trust them.

Though mine is only 9 years old next month and the battery is still under warranty, so I'm not concerned. Heat is your battery's biggest enemy. Clean the battery's filter regularly, cheapest and most efficient thing you can do to prolong the battery's life.

But I saw somewhere that it's possible to repair battery packs by identifying borked cells and only repairing those, making the job quite cheap.

Yes and yes, a 2006 Prius, easy to do however the batteries are all reman these days and will never be as good as new

18 years old, impressive. How long did the hybrid battery last on that model?

I had to replace it on my beater 2nd gen prius

It takes like 15 minutes and you could buy refurbished ones for like $900

If you can get a good battery place like I have in Oregon 4 years with heavy use. Do not go with Honda hybrid they're trash.
