I had to come to a stop on a major highway because I couldn't see due to led highbeams, was I in the wrong?(for context, I drive a shit ev, I let the windscreen fog up to a certain point where it is still safe to see because running the defrost uses 10% of my battery life as it runs the a/c and heater even if I unlight the buttons for them. when it gets too fogged, I will run it for 30 seconds to clear it up)>4 lane major highway>driving exactly the speed limit in the second from right most lane (righthand traffic country)>lifted vehicle with bright white led lights in the far distance going 1% faster>minutes pass>lifted truck now 1 car length off my bumper>instead of simply passing at a safe distance, they turn on their high beams>fogged windscreen becomes completely opaque>gently slow down while trying to maintain lane position using side windows>truck continues to run high beams and gets closer, making the situation worse>manage to turn on defrost but it takes a few seconds for it to clear the windscreen>come to a complete stop>visibility improves, accelerate back up to speed limit>truck or whatever stays far back until turning off laterit was late at night and there was very little traffic, the lane to the left of me was also clear, i dont understand why they do this.
