Is 250 gto a predecessor of 288 gto and therefore one of the flagships or a completely different car?
it was more like a tribute to or evocation of the GTO name they had the same slashes on the tail
>>28109205this car is fucking gorgeous. i wish GM made mid engine corvettes sooner.
>>28109190>Is 250 gto a predecessor of 288 gtoNo.Its a Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 equivalent to an Aston Martin Valkyrie, which is to say they have fuck all to do with one another.
>>28109190250 GTO wasn't a flagship, it was literally just a race car.by comparison 288 GTO was only made to sell to customers to make money. so definitely not the same type of car.you could look at it like the E30 M3, which was a racing homologation car, compared to every M car after that being just a road car.
>>28109278The 288 GTO was designed to have been Ferrari's Group B rally car. But it was too late to the party.
>>28109190The 288 is a joke, the 250 was a very successful racer. The 275 GTB Competizione was the (faster) successor to the 250 and a bargain today at only $10,000,000.
The Lampredi/Colombo V12 era of Ferrari stands alone against the rest of Ferraris history, you can't really compare them to anything that came after.
it's weird to me that people care about cars that will never have any impact on their lives in any way.
>>28109551Very true, that was peak automobile.
>>28109564People connect with classic machines.
>>28109480>The 288 GTO was designed to have been Ferrari's Group B rally carno it was not. it was made by the road car division.
>>28109480it was designed for group b circuit racing
>>28110193EDD STRAW???
