what's the most 80s looking car i can buy?
Dodge Omni
Actual '80s or "cyberphonk retcon" '80s?Here, have this Stanza wagon.
>>281096191984 2 Tone brown C4 corvetteIt has the>wedge shape>lack of grille>flippy lights>digidash>70's holdover brownification>anemic performance ('84 specifically)>black plastic trim>targa top>futuristic wowie! wheels
>>28109619you posted it but good luck finding one in good condition and/or finding all the necessary interior bits to make it look decenttrim pieces are hard to find, this is shit you'll probably sneed to end up making yourself.
>>28109619Probably a Delorean. Personally I've always been thinking about buying an old turd-gen Firebird that's either a Trans-Am or putting on a body kit inspired by the Trans-Am.
>>28109644i've looked through hundreds of Celicas locally and only 3 of them were the 84/85 modelAnd they were over 7k so my pocket will hurt a bit
>>28109622Is there a difference? the latter one would be just more exaggerated edges and boxy looks, which is what i want but within the bounds of reality
>>28109622>no b pillarAbsolute mad wakamonos.
>>28109665There isn't technically a difference, because the cyber ones did exist but most 80s cars were boring boxes.>Obvious answer
MK2 Supra
>>28109680
>>28109720They're a gullwing? based
The Fiero is a pretty good contender
AMG Eagle
GN is the 80s icon.
>>28109843>That Miami Vice connectionI think you might win this thread.
>>28109843>slantnose 930>Testarossa>Countach with the big fuckoff wing>all in cocaine whiteThis is it
>>28109821I was gonna post that myself actually
>>28109619Grand National, Testarossa, or Countach with the wing. There's a very clean one of your pic near my house. Guy seems to take really good care of it. Sometimes WA has some amazing cars. Most times it's faggy bevs.
>>28109619Probably a car from the 80s if I had to guess
>>28109736This one
>>28109635holy kino
>>28109619SOVL
>>28109727no, starions have normal doors. they didn't even have t-tops that were popular back then to make gullwing doors easy-ish to make.
>>28110221>**Sunroofs not available on 4WD vansWhy?
citroen bx
>>28109727Made for a TV show. Only 5 and they made 10 1G Eclipses apparently too.
>>28109736>big ass tail lightsfirebirds have even wider tail lights
>>28110375Exceeded some vehicle weight limit thingy.Neighbor has one of those in his yard, they were somewhat popular here in Finland along with the "nigger lip" Nissans and Mitsubishi egg vans
>>28109736The "HS dropouts" needs to be replaced by "men that peaked in HS"
>>28109619>nobody posted it yetbuncha zoomer/alpha amateurs ITT
>>28110686It looks like a toyota celica
>>28109652I had an '88 celica growing up, great car. it lives in my dad's barn now
>>28109619
can people 3d print parts now?
>>28110879Depends on your budget. Want to spend a new BMW on a laser sintering machine? Or just $150 on a spaghetti slinger?
>>28110879I think the better strategy is to 3D print an approximate part, make a mould of the approximation, fix any errors with sanding and epoxy and more sanding, and then pour liquid plastic/rubber/whatever into said mould
>>28110879Depends on what exactly you're trying to do. Clips, buttons, handles or trim pieces are a piece of cake, airboxes or intake manifolds need more exotic materials but are doable, and something like a turbo exhaust manifold is possible but prohibitively expensive for the vast majority of projects.
>>28110748I had an 88 Turbo for my first car. Great while it was working until the turbo exploded and sent shrapnel throughout the engine bay. Got it for ~3k from the original owner with about 70k miles. Full service history too.
>>28111116>ceramic turbosNot even once
>>28110748>it lives in my dad's barn nowThis is funny and I don’t know why. At least you still have it.
The Pontiac 6000 STE comes to mind.
