I love my '00 3l ranger. I plan on buying a remanned engined for it and hopefully a transmission too. People keep telling me not to because it won't increase the resale value. Spent $9k on and engine rebuild, $2k aftermarket ECU, $1k on new wiring and connectors for the engine loom, lots of other $$$ on other sundries for the carbie to EFI engine swap. The final power figure on the dyno was the same at-the-wheels power output that the factory carbie engine from 1981 had at the flywheel when new. kek

>>28116374Fine, it's still cable throttle and a non-stock ECU so there's no software pussy footing for emissions when you boot it. The only thing I miss is how easy the carb engine would start, like didn't even need to turn over just bump the key and it would fire immediately. EFI needs a few rotations to get full synch before it can get the injectors and spark timed right.
