Would you drive a first generation Volkswagen Touareg with 3.0 TDI engine producing 222bhp and 500 N⋅m (370 lbf⋅fat) equiped with a 4XMotion four-wheel drive system, automatic progressively locking center differential with manual override and a "low range" setting and an optional locking rear differential to increase off-road capability? Would you remap it to have 280bhp and 700Nm?

STFU state of the art combat jets use it to go mach 4 and bomb children hospital in middle east, it's fucking awesome

>inb4 it's not diesel

Is that currently the cheapest way to 200mph in Europe?
>>
>>28118142
Because the "greater" version is filled to the brim with useless 20 year old VAG electronic luxuries that break constantly and are basically unfixable, it is driven exclusively by fat wannabe girlboss women and also it's design is way more dated but that is subjective.

1st gen Touaregs are good, but you need one that is well maintained (I really mean that).
I never owned a diesel, but I hear the 3.0TDI is good (as long as it has been well maintained and serviced).
But frankly, if you're not getting a version that has a lot of options, you will not really appreciate this vehicle.
>t. I have owned 6 of them in my life, still own two of them (V6s, which are the most reliable).
I hope you know how to wrench too

I always liked the touareg, but I've never been in one. Didn't they also have a v8 eventually?
>>
>>28118417
yes, petrol (gas) was in V6 (3.2 and 3.6), V8 and w12
Diesel had 2.5TDI, 3.0v6TDI and the mighty 5.0V10 TDI (which I hope to get one of these days)

they also have some rare options.
for example, some had a front locking differential, and some even had disconnectable sway bars, soft-close doors, heated rear seats, and a long list of other rare things which you don't find very often on the market.
>>
>>28118142
Why did you post a photo of the lesser version then?
>>
>>28118459
based
but a used one is still too expensive, even in 2024
