What should i do for mufflers on the TSX?
I'm going from the 2.25 dual to a 2.5 single to match the outlet size of the header
I was thinking the vibrant ultra quiet muffler with a glass pack further up the line.

I think i'm gonna try to make twincharge b-series work... I'm sure there's a good reason why it won't because i've never seen it done. Either way, it would be neat and fuckin' around with cars is fun anyway, we'll see what the fuck happens

I'll do you one better, bro and I grew up in the back of a DSM mitsu. this was pre-car seats and having retarded foreign inlaws that don't really drive.

i kind hate this push to start crap... back with a key i could just turn on the radio and windows with a slight turn of the key, nothing else was on.. with push the whole dash turns on with every single error light on, the AC turns on full blast, it's annoying

>>28178457
my accord is push start, the starter motor went out last week

Eighth gen civic si sedan or third gen type s? I’m looking at both, civic is three grand less, similar miles, two owner, no accidents, good service records. I’ve had an fa5 before and miss the high revving k20, but was drove a tls a few years ago, and loved power, especially the low end push.

Shopping for a daily with no real mods planned, shifter upgrades, tires, and a louder intake is probably it. Currently leaning towards the tls, and later picking up an eg or ek chassis to k swap.
>>
>>28178343
I'm not that cool. Made a mistake in my post though, the vibrant ultra quiet was a resonator line. Still thinking about what to do.

Preface
Looking for a runabout for the wife, must be small, automatic and have cruise control.
I'm tossing up in between a Jazz and a City. I think both of them are bolted together in Thailand.
The pro's of the Jazz are
>magic seats
Unoquivically the Jazz's number one feature. The way those rear seats fold flat is a real handy gimmick.
>small, compact footprint
Wheels at all four corners, not much overhang. Easy to park (for a woman)
The cons:
>transmission
Those CVT's have a bad reputation for being prone to holding rev's and being expensive to fix.
I'd pull the trigger straight away on the Jazz if it had regular cogs or if she could drive manual.
City, the pro's
>5 speed automatic
Tried and true. Same auto gearbox as out of the 8th gen civic, which it shares alot of parts with if i'm not mistaken.
I could be wrong and hopefully a knowledgable anon sets me straight if i am.
Now onto the cons
>slightly older
General wear and tear issues.
>more overhang
As a preference a hatchback just makes more sense without the longer bonnet and boot.
There are other manufacturers beinb considered too.
>>
How comprable is a Civic Si to a WRX? I want to learn manual but also have something fun as my next car. I don't need AWD but the WRX has more power and also potentially more issues. I remember hearing the 1.5T Si's had issues also but was unsure if they have been ironed out or not and am having trouble making a decision.

This kinda shit is why I love hondas, 160$ jackspania bumper beam fits perfectly over my turbo and intercooler, and supports the bumper nicely. I want to finish cutting the chassis up tonight or tomorrow, then I need to figure out intercooler mounts, turbo oil lines, harness extension/rerouting to avoid all the hot pipes etc etc

I need to chill on buying new parts for a month or 2, but I got more than enough parts and shit to do to keep my busy in the meantime. I really only need a clutch, injectors, take my block to the machine shop to get assembled, and get a tune so probably another ~3-4k or so

Somewhere 650-750 range, kit maxed out at ~928whp@54psi for the previous owner, I'm tryna be extra but not extra extra. I might downsize the turbo early in the season, I'm slowly coming to terms with low laggy a fuckin 66/73 turbo gonna be on a 1.8L. I'm gonna run 84mm pistons to bump displacement to ~2.0l to give it the best possible shot and see how it goes first
>>
is the 1.5L turbo option for the civic enough? It feels like the options are poverty engines, a premium engine for an econobox, or a powerful engine gated behind 'enthusiast' pricing.

fueltech would be the way I go if I do another swap into another chassis. you get the screen and ecu in one unit. s300 is just too slow and absent of features. to do COP conversion costs extra for the board and extra for the harness and extra for the dizzy delete plate but you still use the outdated CKP and CYP sensor in the dizzy. standalone is the way. I don't have a single honda sensor on this car anymore. all GM and Bosch stuff now except for the T1 cam trigger.

>>28191858
>idle control
don't trigger me mf I still need to test my idle valve from 0 - 100 and see when it opens and stops opening. Just my luck mine opened WELL before the usual 26% and so on startup it would rev to fucking 3k rpm. That's good to know. I'll make a tap sometime.
>npt
that makes sense.

>>28191868
I didn't plan my harness fully and ran out of inputs and outputs. In the future I plan on putting some slower PIDs on the ic7 dash since it is now a input expander over CAN since the new NSP update, and try to delete the IAC and go throttle by wire. once I do that I can have traction control and drive modes.

Then I guess there is no going around buying used if I want something fun? I would really prefer new, but I guess there just isn't that much left in the lineup...
Man, the 2 door Type R were the shit. The new one is way too fucking big, especially for JP streets. Would be an instant buy otherwise

I'm thinking of going from my 2010 Civic to a modern Ridgeline because I'm sick of relying on everyone else for transporting the things that don't fit in my car. Thoughts?

honda trademarked rsx/acura rsx recently so the cope is that the new prelude 2 door will get an acura variant. acura dropped all hybrids so it would be ICE and hopefully manual as an option plus type s version with the current CTR/ITS powertrain

There's no /sqttddtot/ so I'll ask here. My Accord made a sound like a whale spouting water out of its blowhole right after the engine started. What could it be. I checked around and there's luckily no leaks. It's pretty cold outside btw (1-2C).
